Excellent hospitality. They will go over and beyond to help you with anything and everything. When I asked for a recommendation of a restaurant, they gave me what I needed, when I asked for a porter to help with the luggage, they found one and even got us a discount
The staff is outstanding in every way . They are always ready to assist you .The rooms are extremely clean and decorated in a romantic Venetian style. Breakfast has anything you would like. Coffee made for you ! Perfect location if traveling by train. Nice local restaurants near hotel . This was our second stay and we definitely will stay again.
This hotel is located just across the Grand Canal from the train station. You just need to get your luggage up and over the bridge. There are porters at the train station who will do this for you for a nice tip. Upon check-in, we were offered an upgrade to a corner canal view room that was fabulous! Very spacious room with several windows to watch the busy canal activity. Breakfast is fantastic including brewed to order Italian coffee service. The hotel has a cozy elevator and a bar with indoor/outdoor seating. Lovely place to stay!
Beautiful, charming hotel and well located. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room is large and well appointed with a fantastic view of the water. A free breakfast is included that was delicious. Highly recommend. Wish I could give six stars.
Amazing place! Everyone was super friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. The room had a beautiful view facing the canal. We could have not asked for more! Breakfast was delicious and filing! 100% recommended!
The hotel is conveniently located off the Grand Cana across from the train station. It is within walking distance to restraunts and shops. It is easy to take a water taxi, gondola or public water bus. The staff is friendly had helpful, offering suggestions for day trips and other excursions.
I picked the hotel based on the location, very close to the train station, but I don't think we could have found a better place to stay. The staff was delightful and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I know where we will be staying on our next visit to Venice and where we will recommend to anyone we know that is planning a trip
This little hotel is a GEM in Venice. It is very conveniently located right across from the Santa Maria train station, you just have to cross a bridge and it's within 3 mins walk. We took a train from Florence so it was very convenient to be at our hotel within minutes of arriving in Venice. There is some stairs to cross the bridge so keep that in mind if you have lots of luggage, you might want to hire a porter. From the time we checked in to the time we left, the service was the staff were outstanding, super friendly and helpful with any questions we had or whenever we needed help with something. We also received 2 free welcome drinks which was appreciated and a map of the city with recommendations to restaurants etc The hotel rooms are fairly small but expected for Venice but beautifully decorated and looked perfect for Venice. House keeping was great and they left us sweets on our pillows every night. We had the little apartment in the Annex which consisted of a main bedroom and a small living area with kitchenette which was very convenient. It's located in a separate building from the main hotel but that wasn't a problem, it was very quiet and felt very secure. The hotel is within walking distance to everything in/around Venice - except if you want to visit Murano island, then you need to take a boat tour ride which the hotel offered for free to its guests. We didn't need to take a water taxi at all except for a ride back to the airport. The best part was just getting lost walking around Venice and discovering this beautiful unique city...and it was easy to get back to the hotel no matter where we ended up as you just had to follow signs back to the train station! This hotel should be rated 5 stars for the service alone! Would highly recommend, such great value and it is perfectly located to visit Venice! …
Travelled with my two teenage kids who's priority requirement was that the three of us had a bed of our own! This hotel was one of the few hotels that offered three separate beds at point of booking & then confirmed it on booking. The hotel is excellently located to avail of bus, train & water transport, while also being within walking distance of many areas. Our room was spotlessly clean, lovely and warm with side windows. It was on the 4th floor & had a lovely view over the roof tops. It was exceptionally quiet in the room & we had three wonderful nights sleep. It felt like there was no one else on our floor, it was that quiet. It has a mini bar with good value pricing. Breakfast was continental style, with cold meats, cheese, eggs, breads, pastries, fruit, juices and cerals. Plentiful and fresh, something to suit everyone. Wonderful coffee freshly made to order. The staff were very welcoming from the point of booking on with excellent communication before and during our stay. They were very helpful with any queries and really went out of their way to check that we were satisfied with our stay. We really enjoyed that we were near everything but in a slightly less touristy part of town which meant the general area around the hotel wasn't crowded with people. The area behind the hotel had some lovely well priced restaurants and it felt safe walking around at night. If I were to suggest anything maybe a slightly bigger room when it was for three. This wasn't an issue during our stay as we were very happy with the room. I really liked that the staff were eager to provide the best professional service possible and clearly had the mindset where they seek to always improve. This is to be commended. Staff seemed to get on well with each other making for a lovely friendly, yet professional atmosphere. Clearly, a very well run hotel. When I return to Venice, I will happily stay here again. …
I wanted to find a hotel closer to Venezia S Lucia train station with good reviews and booked this hotel. The hotel is literally across from the train station, a five minute walk over the bridge. Davide at the reception was exceptionally friendly checking us in explaining the amenities and giving an overview of Venice. The room was clean, well lit and stocked. Breakfast was very good. They have an arrangement with a Glass blowing factory at Murano where you're taken on a tour by a boat. You will be dropped back at Fondamente novel and you walk back into town from there. All the staff are very friendly and the hotel is thoughtful. They have tour books at the reception (Rick Steves etc) that you can read. They offer umbrellas when it's raining. We had to take an early morning train on the way out but breakfast was open only at 7. The gentleman at the front desk told us to feel free to help ourselves even though it was 630 am and the breakfast area was not open. Though we only had one croissant, the thoughtfulness really stands out with gestures like these!…
