We had a wonderful stay at Ca' della Corte, just a week before our 33rd wedding anniversary. It took us 9 years to go back to Venice - hopefully won't be that long for our next visit. The hosts were wonderful. Breakfast was very good...More
My wife and I stayed here because we have been married 25 years and she has always wanted to go to Venice. We loved the hotel; it's not the Ritz, but it is not expensive, which is to say that it's not ridiculously luxurious, but...More
We recently booked Henry's Haven for 3 nights from August 16-19th. After waaaay too many hours researching where to stay in Venice we made the plunge and booked Ca 'della Corte. My advice: book now and you will not regret it and you can stop...More
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. As we indicated that we celebrated our anniversary in Venice, a great bottle of prosecco expected us in our beautiful room overlooking a charming noble Venice house. Enrica, the lady running the B&B is very nice and...More
We stayed for two nights in June. The room was a decent size, comfortable and well appointed. Lovely decor. The breakfasts were good, great coffee, and could be served in your room or on the small rooftop terrazzo. The rooms were on the second and...More
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture
universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighbourhood identity.

I wish I could be more help. Ca' della Corte is a short walk from the Ferrovia vaporetto stop (the train station), also Piazzale Roma, where buses bring you from the airport. But just how to get there is a bit complicated. The map on the B&B site was a big help to us. My husband suggested that you go to Google Maps. We stumbled around a bit but really had no difficulty. What I can tell you is that everyone was wonderfully helpful; a nice gentleman saw us looking at our map and led us right to the door of Ca' della Corte. I think you'll love the B&B. We did. If you get the chance, please tell Caterina, Errica, Valentina and Elisabeta "ciao" from Hampton and Leslie (we stayed there in May for 6 lovely nights).
