Well situated, near St. Marco Place 2 min away. Close to all the most important point of interest of Venice, Rialto Bridge (5 minutes), Teatri, Dodge Palace, gondola stations and a lot of restaurants and shops!

We enjoyed our stay at this Hotel. The staff were very obliging, and friendly, nothing was a problem for them. Hotel room was comfortable for our family of 5, 2 adults and 3 kids 15, 13 & 9. There was a little ambient noise at night, but only minor. Overall, it was excellent.

Antique room with a nice king size bed, another area with a sofa, hot shower, nice breakfast buffet and very gentile staff for an amazing price. We asked for a honeymoon room and thats the best memory we will keep forever.

A group of 8 of us stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It was just off the canal and near St.Mark's Square ... very central. The staff were very helpful the rooms were quiet at night and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. When we were leaving for the airport a member of staff arranged the water taxi for...

Stayed for three nights, wish it were none. Cramped, noisy room. Room dimensions 9X10. Heard street noise and neighbors all night (crying and running children above us). Dated decor. View from window was a concrete wall to another building. No window light in room because streets are narrow and don't permit sunlight to permeate. Felt "seedy," though clean. No dresser....

Stayed here for 2 nights last week and glad we didn't stay any longer. The hotel is less than ten minutes walk to St. Mark's, had free wifi and was clean. However, our room was basic and ridiculously small, the room and bathroom were out-dated, the air conditioning was loud, as were the neighbours, the bed and pillows were rock...

This was a very good location near Piazza San Marco. The hotel was fairly bare bones, but the room was comfortable and clean. Some staff were very helpful. Although it is up a flight of stairs from the street, someone will come down to carry your bags upstairs. Breakfast was good.

Very small hotel , clean room , in the heart of Venice, my room had a canal view , narrow canal but beautiful . Difficult to reach the hotel so you have to store the hotel location on your mobile so you can reach easily. The hotel located at so beautiful narrow and old street .

Great location - 10 mts from the Theatre, 5 mins walk from San Marco square, and 5 mins walk to the Vaporatti. Its not the plushest of the hotel, neither did I get a view in my room but with this price and location its worth it. Its clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. The staff is wonderful - bell boy,...

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
