Idealy located on Guideca, far away from the tourist streams on San Marco. Professional Service at check in and out. Very clean. Good restaurants, bars and grocery store Coop nearby. We had a 1 bedroom appartment with the sofa deployed to another bed for the kids. Small kitchen in between the bedroom and living room with tv . Do not...

I will start by saying that we would have given Al Redentore 5 stars but for one thing that I explain below. It may not affect you. We booked this apartment style accommodation for its location on Giudecca away from the hurly-burly of mainstream Venice, and it did not disappoint. It is a five minute walk from the Redentore vaporetto...

This was Our second stay at the Redentore and We'll return again! On the Guidecca You're in a working family neighborhood with small, quality restaurants and a quiet, slower paced lifestyle, but just a "Vaporeto" ride away from Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge. Quality furnishings, canal views, comfortable beds and bath and a very large living space. Gessica at the...

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights between 23-26th March 2017. We were extremely happy with our room / apartment, as it was very clean, spacious and modern. We did a lot of hunting around for places to stay online and think this is great value for money! The apartments are just a short water bus (less than...

Friends who lived in Venice said that being off the main islands would be best. They were so right! On the "Island of Islands" -- it's quieter with a more 'slice of life' vibe. It was Carnevale whilst we were there, so it was crazy and busy. It was nice to have the quiet of this island to retreat to...

We had a fantastic modern and unbelievably spacious 2 bedroom apartment. We had stayed in several other places in Venice previously and this was by far our favourite. It was marginally more expensive than the other places, but value wise it blew the others out the water. I'm a big fan of Giudecca as a place to stay in Venice,...

Close to vaporetto stop, easy access to everywhere. Small efficient lift to all floors. Apartment was modern, large, light and airy. Spotlessly clean. Everything you could possibly want (except a toaster). Loads of wardrobe and drawer space, an abundance of decent coat hangers, plenty of mirrors, 4 televisions. Super power with endless hot water. Amazing view from the dining area....

A wonderfully presented and positioned apartment in Giudecca. It provided us with everything we needed for our short visit to Venice at the end October 2016. I would recommend it to anyone if you want to escape the bustle of the city after your full days of sight-seeing. It is a short water bus ride from Venice (reception will provide...

We travel quite a lot and nearly always rent an apartment so we have a pretty good idea of what the standards are out there - and this place is first rate. We stayed for a week and it felt like home after the first day. Beautifully restored and decorated, excellent location, great staff. Washing machine and two bathrooms (excellent...

Beautiful apartment -we stayed in a superior and it was perfect for us and our two sons (15 and 11). The rooms were quiet, clean, extremely well equipped with modern facilities and solid, and remarkably reasonable for an expensive city like Venice. The boys had to share a sofa bed but there was another sofa bed in the living room...

Staying in Giudecca

Neighbourhood Profile
Giudecca is a retreat for Venetians away from the crowds. Symbolically, six metal teeth represent Venice’s six sestieri (districts); the seventh, Guidecca, points away from the others – part of Dorsoduro, but separated by the Giudecca Canal. Giudecca evolved from a center of shipyards and factories to a quiet residential area with a sprinkling of restaurants and bars. The majestic harmonious Redentore church stands as thanks for delivering Venice from the plague, hosting an annual heartfelt festival.
