This is a small b&b and that is part of the charm. Just a few rooms (so book early). Ours had two windows overlooking the grand canal. I know you probably are not supposed to sit in the windows but it seemed to be irresistible! The room is not huge but laid out well. We had the room with the...

Cima Rosa is a lovely B&B in a great position, the hospitality of Brittany was great. The room was excellent with a great view of the Grand Canal. Breakfast was simple but nice. I would recommend the rooms with the view, they are very spacious to.

My wife and I spent nine nights at Cima Rosa in early June 2016. Having traveled throughout the world as independent travelers our time to pack up and move on every two or three nights is no longer our style. Now we enjoy a slow leisurely pace with lots of walking and a deeper exploration of what the city has...

We enjoyed our stay at Cima Rosa very much. The suite we had was lovely and overlooked the Grand Canal. There is a communal kitchen area with a fridge. Our train from Florence was delayed by 2 hours and the vaporetto stop at San Stae was temporarily closed. However Valentina waited for us to arrive and gave us a very...

We spent our honeymoon in Venice, staying at Cima Rosa for four nights where we couldn't have been happier. Brittany and Valentina were warm hosts and offered excellent guidance on where to visit and eat - we particularly enjoyed Moceniga and Il Refolo. The b and b was very easy to find from the San Stae water bus stop and...

Fabulous location, unbelievable hosts, just pure excellence. We have never stayed in a b&b previous to this visit to Cimarosa. I always thought I would feel like I was intruding. I may need to rethink my position, we had a fantastic few days here and it was the highlight of our month in Europe. Just try it.

CimaRosa is an excellent B&B located in a lovely neighborhood away from the busy tourist areas of Venice. Going back to CimaRosa after touring the city is like a vacation from your vacation. CimaRosa has modern amenities in a historic setting, with great views of the Grand Canal. Upon arrival we were presented with a map that included all of...

Yes, the reviews tell it all. If you want a hotel next to the Rialo Bridge with news and activity then this won't work for you. If you want a more Italian experience, book now as they will fill up quickly. This is located close to a Vaporetto stop but in a more family type neighborhood. A short walk and...

We visited July 2015. Truly fab and a wonderful American host married to an Italian Architect whom had put much love into the restoration of the Palladio. Sit within the open ground floor window and observe all the ritual and vibrancy of life on the Grand Canal Waters immediately in front of you, the building being literally at the water's...

We're just back from 4 nights at beautiful Cima Rosa. I booked following the great recommendations on TripAdvisor and they were spot on! The owners were away but we were extremely well taken care of by Valentina. She greeted us at the vaporetto stop as San Stae was closed. She gave us great tips about where to go and what...

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
