This is the warmest Hotel in Venice. The staff are amazing. The breakfast...I still dream of it. You will not be disappointed. I loved the Honor Bar at night. Just lovely. Rooms are beautiful, clean and big and they have lovely music piped in. It's bliss.

My wife and I visited Venice last weekend and stayed at the Novecento. I booked to hotel wanting something a bit different. The North African colonial style that was shown on Trip Advisor didn't disappoint. The hotel is a hidden gem tucked in Venice, within 10 mins walking distance to St Mark's square. Our hotel room was spacious with an upgraded toilet. It has a large bed, various TV channels and centralized heating system. The hotel offers free coffee and tea facilities during the day, which works out perfectly for us as we could enjoy...

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
