Stylish, clean and friendly. Only about 30 rooms, so cosy. Comprehensive quality breakfast. Located in Dorsoduro mid way between Zattere and Accademia bridge so get a blue line water bus from Marco Polo to Zattere for about 15 euros. It's the ONLY way to arrive in Venice, giving a view from the sea of Murano, Lido and most of the...

This is an exceptional boutique hotel with exemplary staff. It was a privelege to stay there. It is very quiet. If sailing from San Basilio you can haul your cases there. It is right behind L'Accademmia. Breakfast is excellent and served until 10.30.

A wonderful hotel with the most beautiful rooms, in a relatively quiet street but only a short distance from the Accademmia and the Guggenheim. I would like to make a particular mention to Tommaso on reception, who was incredibly helpful.

We were in venice on the third leg of a four city Northern Italy by train trip. Never been to Venice before..Two practical reasons!!! to stay at Ca Pisani (aside from the wonderful details to come) are : so easy to get to from the #1 Vaporetto from the train station.. very! short walk from dock. ..for the next three...

Why second? Because first time you may be tempted to stay in the overcrowded cramped place near Pza. San Marco or so - a mistake if you are in Venice for more than two days. Ca' Pisani is located in Dorsaduro area, walking distance or vaporetto ride to the same places except you will see more of real Venice, the...

dear World_in_a_Palm, thank you very much for the very nice review, in which you underlined our location, downtown but at the same time out of the crowds, and where you can still watch real Venetian life. the area is called Dorsoduro and the hotel is close to both the Accademia and Zattere stops, for utilizing the various boats navigating in...

Our first trip to Venice and the Ca Pisani was better than we could have wished for. Information before arrival was good with prompt replies. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The room was great, kept really clean and we liked the decor. I do agree with the comments regarding the bed, another 15cm in length would be preferable....

Thank you for a lovely relaxing stay at Ca 'Pisani Hotel. We found everything to our taste and staff were so helpful and friendly. The part of Venice where'd the hotel is situated is lovely and whilst there are many more restaurants and bars it is very quiet.

I LOVE Ca' Pisani. My wife and I stayed there 10 years ago and then again recently. I had fond memories from long ago, and the hotel did not disappoint. Everything about it is wonderful: location, staff, beauty, room size, breakfast, every detail. I have stayed all over the world, but this hotel really stands out.

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
