I have never posted a comment before but this place deserves a little effort. My wife and I had both been to Venice before but wanted to experience the real Venice not just St. Marks and Rialto as so many tourists do. So we decided to spend 5 nights at the Leon Bianco in August 2011 and it was just...

We stayed for 4 nights in Mid July 2011 and will definitely be back. This isn't a Hilton or Marriott, but that's not what we wanted. Breakfast in the room was simple and good quality. The bed was comfortable...The room, though, was exquisite and for the first time in our lives we actually wanted to spend time in the hotel...sipping...

We loved this place, the room was huge, clean and very comfortable. The furniture was beautiful antique style. Stefano and Rosie were very helpful and friendly. The location was central to everything, gondalas at your doorstep, and Piazza San Marco only a 10 minute walk away. We would stay here again.

As a couple and our first time in Venice this place was magical - right on the canal with amazingly well sized rooms this really made our time in Venice just that much better. Explicit instructions for navigating to the hotel were emailed personally prior to arrival date which were a godsend with Venice being the maze that it is,...

What a quisessentially Venetian Hotel! While slightly difficult to find, with an underwhelming entry up dark, damp and steep stairs, it provided us with such a great experience of our time in Venice. The owners are lovely - very friendly, kind and helpful. We were provided with breakfast which was not expected which was lovely. We were very fortunate to...

We stayed two nights for a self-indulgent ending to an epic journey from UK to Bulgaria for nephew's wedding without flying (arriving on 2-night ferry-cruise up the Adriatic, highly recommended). It was wonderful. Room 2 ("double with Grand Canal view"), couldn't be faulted (OK, one tiny niggle that it would be nice to have glasses rather than plastic cups for...

This small, quiet privately run hotel is in an excellent location on the Grand Canal. Our lovely room had wooden floors, ceiling painting, chandelier and period furniture. It was also airconditioned with a fridge and wi-fi. An easy 5 minute walk to Rialto Bridge or 10 minutes to St Marks Square. Well located for water bus stop and numerous shops,...

We'd not been to Venice before and we wanted something special to mark a special birthday. Stefano and the Leon Bianco team exceeded our best expectations. Welcoming, friendly, attentive and helpful. Clean and comfortable in traditional style; the room was perfect. Overlooking the Grand Canal, it provided picture postcard views and non-stop facination from early until very late. Taking breakfast...

Hotel Leon Bianco is a slice of old Venice - tucked away in a wonderful neighborhood close ti the Rialto Bridge - it offers wonderful, old-world accommodations in an authentic Venetian neighborhood. It is a floor in one of the oldest Grand Canal homes, dating back to the 12th century. This is not a luxury hotel - but rather a...

I have stayed in many many hotels over the last ten years or so and I can honestly say that this was of the worst. When we arrived in Venice it was raining heavily and all we wanted to do was get to our hotel and relax for a while. It took a while to find it as the hotel...
