I have booked a room at the hotel through Booking.com for a quite far date with free cancellation option. And as soon as my reservation has been confirmed, I have been informed by my bank that they have charged all the amount of the room from my account. Due to personal reasons, I had to cancel the reservation JUST ONE...

This is a very old and terrible condition hotel. Air condition working very bad. Window cannot close. My daughter got mosquito bite through the night. We didn't have our bed set as booking. Only the location is good. Try not to book if you have other choice.

Stayed there with a large group. Total of 4 rooms. The one I stayed on seemed clean and nice enough for the price. However the single bed was terrible, small and unsafe. The air-conditioning didn't work in any of the 4 rooms and my little cousin got a bad cut on her leg, as the single bed in her room...

Miss leading photos, poor facilities, disinterested staff, room with a view of the canal was the only thing this place had going for it. The shower door was hanging off and the water pressure - well there wasn't any. It is not a Hotel it is a hostel and most people staying here were multi occupying rooms and shared facilities...

I booked a fourbed room for me and my family for my short stay in Venice. The receptionist gave us a room with only three beds, 4th bed he promised us to bring later. The room smelled musty, the room was completely cluttered, cobwebs, bathroom awful. Upon my request, we were given another room, bigger and not so smelled. Bathroom...

The location is perfect for everything - sightseeing, easy reachable from the train station, vaporetto stop round the corner, best bars and restaurants nearby, just in the centre (not in the main tourist areas though). The room was fine and clean; yes, the furnishing is little bit outdated, but come on, you are in a hotel in the lively heart...

I believe I got good value for what I paid. It's certainly not fancy with bells and whistles but if you just need a place to crash at the end of the night it works. The location was convenient and in the end I wasn't there to sit in the hotel room all day.

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
