This is a delightful historic hotel in the Dorsodoro area of Venice that is a bit less touristy. Nevertheless it is very close to the Rialto bridge area. The rooms are furnished with antiques and I suggest you ask for a room overlooking the Guidecca....More

You can indeed walk quite easily via the Accademia bridge, with a total walking time of 15-20 minutes, assuming you don't allow yourself to get distracted on the way! Vaporetto's are also fairly frequent.
