Hotel Flora is hidden down a quaint alley, only a short walk from Piazza San Marco and Saint Mark's Basilica. It's old and loaded with character (like everything in Venice). The rooms surround an open garden sitting area with cafe tables, flowering plants and the...More
We can't speak highly enough of the staff (especially Viniccio) and the hotel itself. The location, close to St. Mark's Square, is in a great spot. Everything was wonderful. If we are back in Venice, we will definitely stay here again!

This charming boutique hotel just a short distance from St. Mark's Square was the perfect place to stay in this bustling city. If you can afford to opt for a superior garden room it is well worth the investment as the rooms are spacious and...More
My stay at Hotel Flora was wonderful. The hotel is located close to everything, but off the busy streets so you have some privacy. The location truly could not be more perfect. Staff were incredibly helpful and kind. Rooms were incredibly clean. Great place to...More
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
