You will love this quaint and charming hotel! The service is wonderful and the location is superb. You will enjoy eating breakfast in the beautiful courtyard! Our rooms were clean and comfortable. Be sure to have a drink in the courtyard in the evening before heading out to dine!

Venice is a fascinating place and Locanda la Corte was a wonderful place to stay. It captures the character of Venice. It was easy to get to from the train station (the hotel gives you a map with instructions when you book). An intriguing trip on the vaporetto to the Fondamente Nova stop and a short walk to the hotel,...

... a small hotel in venice, off the usual tracks, that has style (without showing off), is cosy and quiet. A dozen rooms around a nice patio, some with canal view. Perfect for lovers,Venice lovers and families with well educated children.

This hotel is delightful. We have been to Venice seven times in about ten years, and we would not dream of staying anywhere else. The location is ideal. It is quiet and peaceful, but handy for everything. In one direction you can walk to all the tourist hot-spots in about five minutes - the Rialto, St Mark's Square etc. Five...

This place is a little of the beaten path, but really within a few minutes walk of all the hot spots. It is like an oasis in the tourist craziness that is Venice. The room was wonderful. Clean and spacious with two full baths!! As for the staff, we made it to Venice but our luggage did not. The manager...

We stayed here towards the end of a 6 week trip to Europe where a variety of accommodation had been experienced. This small hotel was served by friendly staff and our room was spacious and comfortable. Handy to plenty of place of interest we really enjoyed our stay here. The only negative was the very small shower which seemed so...

I agree with the other reviews! The service was impeccable and it felt like a home away from home. A small hotel with a family feel. My family and I loved having a quiet spot to go back to after a busy day of sightseeing.

We agree with everything positive that has been said by others...BUt...no one has mentioned the ubiquitous"Tommy" the House Cat!". "Off the beaten track" is VERY GOOD THING about this terrific Guest House in this interesting city! The location is a oasis from the crowds and our walks to and from the Hotel to Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square were...

Although much more expensive, it's worth staying in Venice itself to enjoy the city better. La Corte was an excellent option. Very well located (walking distance to main attractions) and it offered good service. The room I stayed in was very large, completely renewed and beautifully decorated. The room and bathroom were very clean and the breakfast buffet was delicious....

My friends and I (4 of us) shared a room and paid 240 Euros for 2 Queen beds. Of all the hotels we stayed in our Italian Trip (we went to Rome, Firenze, Milano and Venezia), Locanda La Corte would be my favorite. It is such a romantic old place but well maintained. I think it represents alot of Venice......

Staying in Castello

Neighbourhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
