We stayed here for a weekend in October and it was perfect! It can be tricky to find rooms for a family of 4 in Europe (you either end up with kids sleeping on those dreadful pull out couches, or paying the cost of two...More

From the front desk staff, to the fine room, to the breakfast buffet....all were absolutely excellent. Location was magnificent too. Thoroughly recommended! Would return again if in Venice for sure. This hotel is very old and not for everyone but it was perfect for us.

Friendly staff, classical Venetian design (of recent making), central location, average breakfast. The flood of tourists passes in front of your door, one can dive in at any moment of the day. Bathroom OK. Overall good experience.

Good hotel at good price near to Rialto + The price for a group of 5 people, the kind of the lady at the reception, the shower, the breakfast and people do the breakfast. - The receptionist at 2am was not very friendly.

This 13th century Doge's palace is in a very good location. It is a small hotel with a tiny reception, but the rooms are beautifully furnished and the staff pleasant. The bathroom was tiny, but the shower was good. The breakfast is adequate, but there...More

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)

The Antico Doge is indeed well situated, both with respect to the major attractions and the railway station, all of which we walked to. What is *not* so easy is getting round Venice generally, as it is labyrinthine, and... More

As the others have said, the staff are very helpful and friendly indeed, and will be glad to store your luggage if the need arises. In fact, I have always found thus to be the case in almost any hotel I've stayed in.
