This hotel is located on a 10 min walk from the train station and 15 min from the airport bus location. Also near the ships riding the Gran canal. The room is comfortable, nice bathroom and excellent complementary WiFi Morning breakfast is delicious and very complete. No negatives to report.

Pictures were very promissing but the room was very small. The reception staff was welcoming and the breakfast below average for its rating. However, It is well located mear the train station. Price was good, though.

This is a lovely little hotel. Very central for seeing the sights. I agree that calling it a four star is a bit of a push. No tea/coffee facilities in the room and no real bar either. But very clean, staff very friendly and breakfast was lovely. Bring a travel iron with you as they don't have any on site...

From the grand hall way ad you enter the hotel fits it's good location within Venice. The staff were excellent and always available to help. What's more the wifi was very good we had no issues with it whatsoever. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection and was open from 7am until 10:30. The rooms were a little dated however,...

Good position and very easy to get to from bus or train station. Very sad and well past it's best. Rooms on the front (main street), must be absolutely murderous for noise. Our room was clean and well cleaned each day, but the bathroom utterly flooded every time we had a shower. This made the floor incredibly hazardous until the...

Pray, before you enter this hotel that your room is not on the third floor or above. Because the wifi connectivity there is as temperamental as your last girlfriend. On moment you're all excited you can (finally) connect to it and the next you know, the connection is dropped without warning.

Firstly the plus points- the location is excellent, if as we did you arrive by train, just five minute walk from the station. Although in a busy little street the room we had was overlooking the garden so very quiet. The breakfast also had a good buffet selection so kept us going all morning. But .... this is not a...

The location of this hotel is perfect, it is in walking distance of all the major sites and travel links. The hotel is nice, staff are helpful, rooms are clean and breakfast is good. I'm not to sure if it is a 'four star' hotel though. Easy transport from the airport, just catch the water bus to Venice, stop at...

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighbourhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
