I did a lot of research before booking and the Hotel Colombian did not disappoint. It was in a great location, so close to St. Marks and Doges Palace. We had a great room in the annex. No problem that there is no lift because...More
Our trip to Venice was going to be just a day trip, however, we found this jewel of a hotel to stay in. Service was excellent, rooms were nice and clean. Because it was a last minute, the only room they had available was in...More

This was our first stay at Hotel Colombina and not our last. Perfect location with amazing views of the canal. I couldn’t stop looking out of the window!
The staff are very friendly and the service was to a high standard. High recommend.
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.

We used the water taxi which was organised for us by the Hotel. They fetched us at the Harbour by car, took us to the water taxi which in turn took us to the front door of the hotel. It was a lovely way to see a small part of Venice and to get your bearings.
