Most of the rooms offer a breathtaking view over the spires and the mosaics of the Basilica and over Piazza San Marco. We just returned to the states after a 2-week vacation, ending in Venice and staying at the Concordia. We have mixed reviews and I wanted to highlight all the pros and cons of our stay at the Concordia in case you're considering staying here. We stayed in room 316, which has a spectacular view of San Marco and the square - it was really amazing!! It's a very spacious room, with 2 bathrooms - one had a really nice bathtub/shower and the other had the toilet/bidet. It also has 2 balconies! One smaller one that opened off the bedroom, and the 2nd one is up the stairs on the roof with a table and chairs - it was perfect for sitting out and drinking wine while having a spectacular view of the cathedral and square. The room was clean, although a bit dated - it definitely needs some updates, but it is a historical building and updates can be difficult, so that didn't really bother us. The housekeeping staff were great, and refreshed our room daily, but didn't give us anymore toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, etc) when we ran out - we had to ask the front desk for more, which we thought was strange. The mini bar in the room was VERY pricey, but we didn't partake in any of those items - but we were surprised that they didn't even offer complimentary bottled water like all the other hotels that we stayed did... we were also really disappointed that there wasn't a hot water kettle or tea in the room - that would be something very very nice for the hotel to offer. Like the bottled water, we always had a way to make tea or coffee in our room at the other Italian hotels we stayed at on our trip. They did offer breakfast for us every morning, which was nice... although I would have loved if they had offered real eggs - the scrambled eggs tasted like they were from a dry powder mix, but I could be wrong. They didn't offer eggs over easy or any other kind. The staff were overwhelmed when we were there, even though they staggered guests and you got to choose your time to go down to eat. They were friendly enough and breakfast was just ok - they do need to revamp their order menu that though - it's a little confusing and not translated very well for some things. They offered bacon and scrambled eggs, cheeses and meats, jam, honey, croissant, and coffee choices, etc.. but we were thankful to have a complimentary breakfast for sure. The front desk staff was very friendly to us, arranged a complimentary ride over to Murano, gave recommendations for eating out, always greeted us kindly, and were overall very helpful! The biggest reason we rated this hotel at 3 stars was because of the bed - it was insanely firm--- VERY firm..... so much so that we asked for more pillows to lay on. Our backs were very sore and we did not sleep well at all. I know some people prefer a firm bed, but it was extremely hard for us. The comforter was very soft and very fluffy, so that was nice. The other reason we had very unrestful sleep here was because there was machinery on the other side of the wall that made very loud whirring and grinding noises ALL NIGHT LONG - and every 5-15 seconds, there were loud banging noises as well - like someone pounding a fist on the wall. We had earplugs and played white noise on our phones all night, and we still heard it. We let the front desk know, and they said they had called a repair person. We did hear someone in the room checking on it, but at the times they checked on it, it wasn't making the noises. The loudest banging seemed to coincide with morning and evening showers, so maybe it was a pump of some sort. The noise continued every night, all night, so it was very disturbing and because of that, we never got much sleep. It was a very unfortunate experience because overall, we really loved the hotel, the view and the central location.... The last very unfortunate issue was the mosquitos.... they were BAD. If mosquitos happen to like you, DON'T open the windows. It was very warm in our room at night, so we were way too warm - opening the windows were our only option, and the mosquitos absolutely ate me alive - I came home with 10 bites on my face as well as all over my arms and even my fingers. Eeeeek - it's bad! We would look up and there would be mosquitos all over the ceiling. It would be amazing if there was a screen on at least one of the doors or windows so that guests could open something for air without the pests. It's Venice though, so we understand that there would be bugs - that's not the hotels fault at all, but I wanted to mention it because the bites made me absolutely miserable and it really affected my trip home. I was really thankful for once, to cover my bitten face with a mask. LOL Overall, we would probably not stay here again - because sleep is SO important and we just weren't able to get any sleep - the noise, the hard mattress and the mosquitos. Yikes! But thank you to the staff at the Concordia - overall, you guys were amazing and very friendly.

Dear lindsayt259, thank you for taking the time to share your comments with other visitors to Tripadvisor. Guest feedback is something that is extremely valuable to us. I couldn’t be happier to know that our front desk staff continue to create such memorable experiences for our guests. Thank you so much for your comment of spacious and fully equipped room. I sincerely apologize that the comfort of your bed was not up to your expectations and it caused inconveniences, but we think that the firmness of a mattress is just a personal feeling. Just after your checkout, we called a technician to discover that the reason of the noise you hear all night was the autoclave. Now the issue has been solved. Mosquitos are unfortunately part of Venice, this last period is hotter than normal and we usually provide a plug-in device against mosquitos. Regarding breakfast, I inform you that our longstanding supplier provides all major hotels of Venice. Thank you for noting the kindness of the staff. We stay at your complete disposal and we are very happy to inform you that if you decide to come back to Venice and stay with us, we will offer you a 20% discount on your accomodation. The management.

The hotel is located just beside the duomo. Probabely one of the older places, comfortable, but relatively small rooms with no water marks or mosquitoes in the room, air conditioning. At night, it can become rather noisy, if windows are open. Friendly and helpful personnel. Everthigng was running at slow speed due to Corona and the coming 2. lock down.

Location is fantastic, unfortunately the service lets the hotel down as it is below standard. The rooms are small, water marks over the walls, and mosquitos are problem in the room. The waiting staff for the breakfast have a short fuse. and the hotel lacks communication. There are many hotels in Venice at the same price with a higher standard

We recently stayed at the Hotel Concordia. The location is ideal for exploring all parts of Venice. Just steps from St. Marks but yet away from the noise of the crowds. We had a room with a small balcony and really enjoyed watching the city go by from the terrace. The staff was friendly and accommodating, especially given the Covid situation. We were always welcomed with a smile. This hotel is dog friendly and we found it to work well for us and our dog. Thank you

Excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff. Exceptionally clean and felt very COVID safe. All staff wearing masks at all time. Breakfast can be a little slow as tables socially distanced and a la carte only. No buffet due to COVID but not an issue as felt very safe and staff working hard to keep everyone secure. Would recommend and hope to return
