We were delighted with this self-catering accommodation for our 4-night stay in Venice. We were given a second floor apartment for 6, which was ideal for our family of four; we used the sofa-bed in the larger bedroom for one of the children. Two modern,...More
The outside of the building hides the absolutely beautiful interior. We had a ground floor apartment with the entry on the side lane way. What a stunning interior. Modern kitchen, beautifully decorated and 2 bathrooms. It was an absolute treat and our receptionist, Jessica was...More
This is a lovely spacious apartment in a perfect quiet spot only a stonesthrow away from the centre of many vibrant main areas of Venice . From here, it's an easy few minutes walk to St Marks Square, and also only a few minutes away...More
A great apartment in a fantastic location, a few minutes from StMarks square. Staff were helpful and friendly really went the extra mile, providing a complementary bottle of proseco for my wife's birthday. Apartment ( on ground floor ) spotless and very well equipped, large...More
We spent 3 days here with my family last summer. It was the crown on our 2 weeks of road trip. We left the car outside of Venice. This accommodation cost more (obviously) than other hotels outside of Venice but it definitely worth every penny....More
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a
strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.

On the "how easy to get to from the airport" >> If you are willing to take a water taxi (around 60 euro I think - and the hotel will arrange it for you if you like) - it could not be simpler. Taxi will pick you up at the airport and drop you directly in front of the hotel. For us - with all of our luggage - and after a long trip, it was a luxury that was WELL worth the price.
