Thank you Stefania again (our 5th visit) for your so generous hospitality. You look after us all so well and ensure that your infectious love of your city enables us to find some wonderful new places to visit and good places to eat - not least your husband's restaurant Al Giardinetto da Severino which we heartily recommend. Thank you so...

The marvelous reviews do not scratch the surface of this jewel of a B&B in the beating heart of Venice. Stefania has hostessing in her soul, you arrive and you are the most important person in her life, you leave feeling bereft you may never see her again. We came with friends who have stayed here before, and we're not...

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst in Venice towards the end of October. The owner, Stefania, was remarkably helpful and knowledgeable about Venice - providing personalised advice on arrival. Plenty of fruit, yoghurt and coffee available for breakfast, Great location not too far from the Rialto and near a good selection of places to eat.

We stayed with the wonderful Stefania for the second time, the first time was two years ago and we couldn't wait to go back, actually we didn't want to leave. This is the only B&B we have ever gone to because we are more hotel people - well - have we changed our minds. The rooms are gorgeous, they are...

From our first email of inquiry, to day of check out, everything was FANTASTICO!! Stefania is an outstanding innkeeper with flawless English. She was very helpful in giving us instructions of how to find her lovely home..super easy and right in the middle of "the happpening". We felt we were in a very central location and could walk all over...

Value, location, hospitality, cleanliness, topnotch. Breakfast was only average but Stefani made up for it with her hospitality and helpfulness. If we ever get back to Venice we would not hesitate to stay there again.

If you do this right, by the time you visit Bed and Breakfast You and Me, Stephania and you are already FRIENDS! Stephania takes running this B&B very seriously and from the first moment we started communicating via email, she became an invaluable resource! She has recommendations for restaurants and not just general recommendations. You will learn about her Pasta...

Stephania runs a lovely B&B in the heart of Venice. Except for the very steep stairs - a challenge for my husband who had an injured leg, the lovely B&B had large, well appointed rooms, a very nice bathroom, a terrific self-serve breakfast with lots of choices in all departments; and, above all, a hostess with the mostest!! We were...

From the moment you arrive Stefania made you feel welcome. We were given a map, which we used to get around everywhere. The B & B was very clean and you help your self to breakfast in the mornings (no set time) you can also help yourself to food ,water when needed and a mini kitchen where you can make...

We arrived after an exhausting flight to the b&b and was greeted as friends. The apartment was impeccably clean and the room was spacious and looked just like you see on the photos. We could not have done better. There was a great selection of breakfast foods available and Stephania gave us very good tips about venice and maps as...

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
