Stefania is THE wonderful Innkeeper! She welcomed us to awesome Venice with open arms and a lengthy tutorial, with map in hand, of how to really see and enjoy her fascinating city. She informed us of the best areas/attractions to see and which ones to avoid. Unique & Priceless. Her B&B is conveniently located about a 15 minute walk from...

A few hundred yards from Rialto. 3 rooms. Ours was quite spacious. It had all the facilities we expect nowadays! A very warm welcome from Stefania, who lives nearby. The help yourself breakfast was plentiful. We were out most of the time, so the Bed and Breakfast was just that! Bbyouand me was good value and I recommend it.

Me and my wife have just returned from 4 fabulous nights in Venice. Stefania and her B&B was amazing. The best host I have ever come across and an amazing place to stay in the heart of Venice. On arrival Stefania was so welcoming and went through Venice in great detail, which was a great help. We stayed in MiMI...

My girlfriend and I stayed here over the Easter weekend. The host, Stefania, gave us a really warm welcome and very kindly pointed out all of the best places to check out (and the places to avoid). Our room was spacious and the bathroom had everything we needed. Also, Stefania provides a really generous breakfast with pastries, juices, cereals etc...

Venice is a 'bucket list' city but very expensive to stay in so finding a hotel was really challenging;very glad that we found this great B & B. When you do locate it-using the good instructions from Stefania the owner you will find a small B & B (just three rooms) with so much to recommend. The rooms are basic-but...

Ciao Stefania. All the reviews are 100% accurate. Stefania is a great host. There is nothing she will not do to make your stay great. I would not hesitate to come back in a heartbeat. Great location, and a great room. Perfect place without being too touristy

Thank you Stefania again (our 5th visit) for your so generous hospitality. You look after us all so well and ensure that your infectious love of your city enables us to find some wonderful new places to visit and good places to eat - not least your husband's restaurant Al Giardinetto da Severino which we heartily recommend. Thank you so...

The marvelous reviews do not scratch the surface of this jewel of a B&B in the beating heart of Venice. Stefania has hostessing in her soul, you arrive and you are the most important person in her life, you leave feeling bereft you may never see her again. We came with friends who have stayed here before, and we're not...

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst in Venice towards the end of October. The owner, Stefania, was remarkably helpful and knowledgeable about Venice - providing personalised advice on arrival. Plenty of fruit, yoghurt and coffee available for breakfast, Great location not too far from the Rialto and near a good selection of places to eat.

We stayed with the wonderful Stefania for the second time, the first time was two years ago and we couldn't wait to go back, actually we didn't want to leave. This is the only B&B we have ever gone to because we are more hotel people - well - have we changed our minds. The rooms are gorgeous, they are...

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
