We arrived in Venice at the train station and took the vaporetto to our stop which took about 10-15 mins. B&B Rialto was a 1 minute walk from the stop and easy to find. We were greeted by Luciano who is the friendliest, full of humour fella that we met in Venice. He showed us the view from the kitchen...

We though B&B Rialto sounded to good to be true for the price when we booked it. But the amazing reviews are well deserved ..... cannot believe the 5star service, amazing location and superb view from the fabulous balcony. After a full day out we looked forward to enjoying a bottle of prosecco on the balcony verlookng the Grand Canal,...

Great location right by the Rialto bridge which provides easy access to all of Venice. Amazing balcony view right on the Grand canal. We stayed in the "Burano" room with the shared bathroom that I was a bit apprehensive of but it turned out not to be an issue. Light breakfast in the morning provided but sufficient enough to start...

I was in Venice when the hotel I had made reservations with had cancelled without notifying me and I was stuck in Venice with no place to stay. I did a quick look on internet and found B&B Rialto and made a reservation because they had a last minute cancellation. Luciano called me shortly and came to me in San...

This is a great little accommodation close to all the right locations and has an excellent shared balcony with fantastic views. The hotel is close to the Grand Canal and transport with vaporettos stopping at Rialto Bridge and Rialto piers with a traghetto crossing at the front door. The bathroom, kitchen and dining area are shared but there wasn't a...

Great location, simple but beautifully appointed B&B. Super balcony for great views of Venice. Shared kitchen can be a small challenge if you have big families in house but generally we were out most of the day and they really went out of their way with attention to detail for anything you'd require whilst in house. Don't be to quick...

We actually stayed here by mistake, but a pleasant one. We thought we had booked the Rialto Hotel but then found out it was the B&B Rialto. We arrived by river taxi from the airport which I would advise as the public transport would be around a 5/10 min walk through busy packed streets with lots of steps to navigate...

B&B Rialto is an old house converted into a B&B so it is lovely and small with a communal kitchen, balcony and breakfast area. The delightful host Luciano met us at the water taxi - get off at the FISH MARKET, turn right, cross the small bridge and B&B Rialto is one of the houses on the left. First time...

We stayed at B&B Rialto for one night during a European trip. We pulled into the Venice train station as it was getting dark and a big mistake was not having clearer directions (although I had printed a map but in Google the street names are "modern" and in Venice, they're traditional so they don't match up). In fact, my...

I have visited Venice several times and stayed in a variety of hotels, including one with a balcony on the Grand Canal. This B & B was a great value considering the location and communal balcony. It was very comfortable and the location was central and very conveniently located. Initially, I had a little difficulty finding the place--if you book...

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
