This was a decent place for us to stay on the TMB, before Courmayeur. The showers are 3 minutes by a token which is provided. Very clean and hot which was fantastic! The rooms are very typical TMB refugio- lots of beds, close together. Clean though, and many are not bunk beds (bonus!). They were not full but they had...

The room we stayed in was along the road from where you sit to eat but the room was nice, quite new and modern and very clean. However our room was quite cold and we were told we could not put the heating on. The evening meal was nice. Quite a good spot to stop before the leg busting steep...

Our room for the night had clearly been updated not too long ago. We were a group of 8 and had an upstairs room to ourselves; the beds and blankets were comfortable, the room clean, and we all slept well. The showers are run with coins like many establishments on the TMB, and you get about 3 minutes of hot...

This place is in an awkward spot on the TMB, very close to Courmayeur. We stayed here as we were not able to contact Refugio Elisabetta. I was expecting a Gite so was thrilled to find myself in a modern ensuite triple room. Beautifully decorated with a gigantic slate bathroom. Comfortable beds with one drawback. I had the top bunk...

We stayed here at the end of our 5-day trek from Chamonix. Very recently renovated, clean and quiet (except for fellow snorers/peer-ers!). Beds new but comfortable. Nice patio overlooking Courmeyeur valley. Dinner consisted of soup and a meat entree, very edible. Good coffee in the am. Kids loved running around the quiet, wooded area around the Gite.

You can stay in this refuge before going down to Courmayeur, it's a good place to have a rest, comfortable room and bed, big bathroom and hot water. The restaurant is the house nearby with a family food and the welcome of the family is very friendly. 16 beds (2 rooms of 10 and 6 beds) Go and see the...

On our way around the tour du mont blanc, my husband and I were informed by other hikers to stay at this new refuge in the mountains above Couymayeur. As the story goes, Le Randonneur was hand-built by its proud French ex-mountainer owner who was an absolute character! His Italian wife ran the adjoining restaurant where we experienced fantastic home-cooked...
