Two weeks ago my wife and I stayed four lovely days at the AC Hotel Milano. It is neat, modern, and clean, but most importantly, its staff stand out and set it apart from other hotels we've stayed at recently. Starting from check-in with Massimiliano and Luigi at the front desk, who patiently helped us get the room we wanted,...

We stayed here on a short break to Milan. It was perfect for getting into the city, with both a metro and tram stop nearby, or even a 20 minute walk from the central train station. The room was modern, quiet and comfortable. We were very happy with the free soft drinks from the mini bar as this meant we...

good room, great breakfast, quick and easy ceck-in/check-out. Parking also ok for bigger cars. Bottomline, one of the very few hotels where there is nothing to complain about. Although breakfast is included in the price it is superior. Freshly sqeeezed orange juice...yummy. Good location for travelling without car, as close to subway and train station (Milan Garibaldi Station, which is...

i stayed here for a weekend, and the hotel is very, very nice: crisp, modern, comfortable, clean, quiet. the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and certainly made me feel welcome. the hotel is situated next to the porta garibaldi train station, which certainly makes it convenient to arrive to and depart from the city. it is, however, a little...

I just returned from a business trip to the Milan area and had 2 nights for tourism. From the moment I checked in, the staff was extremely helpful and tried their best to make sure my questions were answered and even threw in some good suggestions on how to spend my free time. Very nice room, excellent bathroom and mattress....

As previously mentioned, this hotel is a bit out of the center but the metro is within 5 minutes. Room was large and clean. Liked the hardwood floor with rug setup. Got a king room and it also had a large sitting area with a sofa and coffee table. Got free internet via elite status and that worked well. Staff...

OK, the first impression as you enter the hotel is Italian design - lacquered red vases, a couple of huge gongs, dark wood - good, but a few shiny baubles do not make a great hotel make. Lots of issues: - Asinine elevator system - I was on the top (17th) floor. The 4 elevators are on 3 different circuits,...

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
