We've booked this hotel just because it looked decent, had fair rates for a 3* hotel, and we haven't checked the trip advisor reviews. I wouldn't recommand it to anybody travelling to Milan. If you need just a place to sleep, you're better off in a hostel. The services were terrible, the stuff was very rude and unhelpfull and the...

We chose this hotel because it was the cheapest hotel that we found. There were hostels available that were only slightly cheaper. The reviews on trip advisor were not kind but as we had no budget we booked it. We got an airport bus to grand central station then took the metro to P.TA Genova FS where we set off...

I stayed here on 13/09/2014. I chose it after seeing the red sad face on the TripAdvisor rating but thought I'd give it the benefit of doubt, after seeing that the website had described how it had been refurbished. I arrived early, about 13:30 but there was a room available for me which was great. It is typical of an...

For the price and the location, I felt like we got a good deal. However, to set better expectations for yourself, think of this hotel as 2 stars. It is a bit run down (bathroom door didn't close all the way, there was a bit of mold in the bathroom, room was super small, towels were super rough, and tv...

Never written a bad review about any hotel before. Stayed here for three nights and can honestly say it is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I actually laughed once i arrived in my room. Apparently 'all 44 rooms have recently undergone a facelift'?! It was old and shabby with switches for lights missing and broken. How it...

I stayed a few weeks ago from my review date! My first time to Italy and I wished I had a warmer welcome, but that's what I get for booking on a whim. My room was a lot smaller than imagined, and the bed seemed smaller than a twin. The front desk girl made my welcome very uncomfortable. Yelling throughout...

Staying in Navigli

Neighbourhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.

“Stayed in both a double and single room. Both were shabby but would ask for room to be on left hand side of the building as there is far less noise from traffic. Dont stay on second floor as there are problems with air conditioning.”
