Thank you to the staff at Hotel Colombia, Milan. I thought I had a reservation for 3 nights, but the booking agency sent it to Hotel Colombia, Trieste by mistake. Nonetheless, the staff at Hotel Colombia, Milan were very helpful and went to alot of trouble to sort it out for me. I ended up staying there for 1 night....

Essential, clean, standard rooms on the small side... but well run establishment offering the chance of moving in and around Milan at ease thanks to nearby Stazione di Milano Centrale (for touring outside Milan) and the underground/metro/tube station less than 5mins walk fm the hotel to explore the city itself. As it's nr the station it's also in proximity of...

Milan being a big city, I needed for my stay a simple comfortable hotel near railway station where I arrived and from which I was leaving. Hotel Colombia was a perfect choice for that purpose: clean, comfortable, very reasonably priced, few minutes walk from railway station with several metro lines also. The area is quiet and safe at night, so...

If you're going in and out of the train station, this is a perfect place to stay. It was easy to find and only a small walk from the station. The rooms are clean, and a bit more modern than another hotel I stayed in while in Milan. A short walk will take you to sights within the city. Breakfast...

We arrived at the hotel early in the afternoon and wasn't quite satisfied with the room we had since it doesn't have wifi signal inside. So they upgraded us to a much bigger room without any additional charges. And the bellman was very helpful though he doesn't speak much English. The hotel is very close to the Milano Central station,...

Maybe the rooms are not big and the breakfast choice limited but the overall location, friendly staff, modern Gym and good prices for milan make it a valid hotel! I would challenge you to fond anything else in the area that can offer the same at the same price

In my experience Italian hotels manage to put as many rooms as possible in a hotel. With this hotel it is the same. Some square feet room for a bed et cetera, a tv set that doesn't work properly, a minibar that is not filled, very friendly people, mediocre service and wifi that you have to pay for. But, and...

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
