The website stated that it is located a few steps from milan central station. It took us around 20 minutes to walk from the station to the hotel. The website also states that there is free wifi all through the hotel, but when we got there, it was only available at the reception area and not in our room. When...

The hotel is located near the city centre, only three minutes walk to the Porta Venezia metro station and one minute to the tram stop. Tram no. 5 connects the street with the railway station. Via Tunisia is intersecting Buenos Aires, a huge shopping street, busy at evenings. There are many restaurants nearby, unfortunately closed at afternoons because of siesta....

Located a little far from city area (30mins walk), the place was a mixture of hostel and hotel concept. Some rooms had private bathroom while some had to share with others along the corridor. Facilities were clean but old... Well, it's really alright to stay a few nights though.

The location is good - 20min walk to the center, 15 to the train station. The metro is also close by. We had a 4 bed room. The door was thin so we heard a lot of noise. Also it didn't really close properly so we didn't feel very safe, with some strange people walking around the hotel. The sheets...

As a couple we stayed for 3 nights. The staff are very friendly and the whole place is very clean. They provide towels and clean every day. No air con but they provided a fan which was appreciated. The wifi was good. Our room overlooked the main road. We had half a shutter open to get onto the balcony and...

Awful. Cigarette smoke smell during the night, upwelling sink and leaky toilets noises during the night, door as thin as cigarette paper, simple pieces of cloth as towels... And welcome was not good as well. We really found it expensive given what we got... Worst hotel I've ever been to.

San Tomoso hostel is the bare minimum. Do not expect any frills. The rooms are clean and the location is good, but that's about it. The beds are very uncomfortable. We asked for an ensuite private and was just given a room with a shower in the very center of the bedroom, so that anyone else in the room could...

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
