Firstly do your homework on locating the hotel as it is difficult to find, however close to the Duomo Metro Station. The room is very small, dont bother opening the windows as there is no view or nothing to see. The bathroom is way too small and the shower is small (more room on a submarine) with no shelves to...

We ordered carbonara pasta, beef lasagna and pizza. We like it vey much. if you are looking for delicious authentic Italian food, you have to come here! It also has a very good service. Best chilli oil. Walking distance from Duomo and main roads.

My husband and I spent there just one night. We will never come back! We really are not very picky with almost anything when we travel but this hotel was far from average... We got a very cute small but functional room which we loved until I took a shower and then the cloak smell came!!! My husband didn't dare...

Super well located hotel (8 min walting to Duomo). Nice breakfast (coffe/capuchino/ cafe latte + juice + fruit + croassant + muesli + iogurt + ...). Nice hotel service. Negative point is just a bit noisy due to thin walls and low speed internet connection in the rooms. However I'm young and I would come back to this place :)

The location is good, near Duomo and metro. I was so worried while reading the reviews and was expecting something really terrible. However, it turned out not so bad, maybe because we were lucky. The design and room was old, yet fine. The toilet is small but really clean. We were impressed with the staff serving breakfast, he could barely...

Beyond bad. We payed for the room but didn't stay. The guy at the desk was a jerk. Didn't let us check in until after the deadline to get a refund for the next day. We went to the room and the door was broken, electrical plugs didn't have covers and the bathroom was not dirty but it wasn't clean....

This place is recommended by Rick Steves as a budget option, and I think pretty much hits on the nail on the head. It is basic, but clean. It's a bit hard to find on arrival, but once you've figure it out, the location is pretty convenient even if the path the to place is a bit tortuous. The breakfast...

Old rooms, old decoration, no additional value. The bed, however, is comfortable. The room was clean, although pretty old. The breakfast is very basic, nothing of value, and the staff barely spoke a word of English.

Situated in a very narrow street, which has unexpectedly a lot of cars going through it. The garbage truck comes every night to empty the garbage and tends to wake you up if your room overlooks the street. Otherwise not much bothered by the street noise. Situated within 6 minutes walk of nearest Metro Cordusio and 10 minutes from Duomo....

All in all, this was a decent find in a very, very busy and crowded city! The rooms are not big, the quality of the plumbing in the bathroom a bit eccentric, but the AC and Wi-Fi were great, we slept well, the lift was adequate, and the daily breakfast was tasty and sufficient for a long day of sightseeing....

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
