Hotels in a good location to see the sights of Milan. Although our room wasnt one of the refurbished rooms it was still ok. The room was big and the bathroom was excellent with double sinks and a whirlpool bath with seperate shower cubical. If i was to stay here again i'd request a refurbished room. There was also building...

I have been to Milan more than a few times before but my friend has not, thus, I was excited for us to experience the center together by staying in a 4 star hotel. As we were walking toward the hotel, we saw that it was undergoing construction. Therefore, the side of the hotel was covered in plastic. When we...

this hotel has nothing special, only the position. however, it is a 4-star hotel and we were really wondering how could that be? the rooms were really hot and the heating could not be switched off... not speaking about the air condition which they could not switch on because it was still the “winter season”. They do not understand that...

To the point. Good = location. Slap bang in the middle of the city. Shopping and Duomo right on your doorstep. Metro stop close by and lots of restaurants too. Inexpensive hotel overall. Taxi from Milan Centrale train station is approx €11.20. Bad = tired decor, needs modernising. You have to hand the room key into reception every time you...

This hotel is very classic. Staff was helpful and nice. The doubleroom was big enouth and very clean. Food tasty and fresh. The best is location - based near by Duomo so it is in absolute centre. I take this hotel every time I come to Milano.

literally in the very center in Milan; couple of minutes walking distance from Doume and no waste of time if you want to shop! Breakfast is quite satisfactory; much better than most Italian hotels. Cleanliness of walkways must be improved. the room was clean enough and the room was fixed daily. In general, I recommend it if you want to...

The hotel is centrally located - that's the only perk, you're in the middle of the shopping district and within 5-min walking distance to Duomo. When I checked out other travelers' photos, I saw many "renovated" rooms but unfortunately, our room was old and smoky, so I guess you won't necessarily get the new room upon reservation. Another thing that...

Perfect place. Just the parking wasn't expected. But you can drive right to the door for your lugage. Very near to the duomo and shopping area. The rooms were really big and clean. We had much space and privacy. The breakfast was good also. The waiters were realy nice.

This hotel is very centrally located, near the main shopping area of Milan, close to the Duomo and to the galleries with bars, restaurants and shops. It is very clean, comfortable and quiet. The Decor is a little tired but if all that one wants is a good night sleep then it doesn't really matter. The members of staff are...

Perfectly situated hotel for the Duomo as it is two minutes walking distance. Double room adequate but dated and could do with a lick of paint. Very large bath, but not very inviting. Staff not overly friendly. Breakfast adequate. I would only book this hotel for the location which was ideal. It's not the easiest to find if travelling by...

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
