We stay here every year. It is very centrally located in the shopping district. Rooms are small but good. They have a valet parking system. 50 euros per night. Very expensive but no choice. We were there 3 nights and every night they did not service our room. Each night I complained and they said I must have had the...

We discovered this gem of a hotel last year and, having stayed at all the top hotels in Milan (Four Seasons, Bulgari, Hyatt among others) we found this establishment more than a match for the big names and at very reasonable rates. This time we were given a delightful junior suite with a balcony. As before, the staff were all...

The Hotel Manzoni is in a great location right in the middle of the "Rectangle of Gold" (main luxury shopping district) and it is walking distance to the Duomo. We had an excellent stay across the board but I wanted to specifically mention the exceptional service from the hotel. We had forgotten the contents of our safe in our previous...

Hotel Manzoni is without any doubt ideally situated for sightseeing in Milan. The rooms are very clean and of a high standard and the housekeeping is extremely good. The reception are polite and helpful if a little functional at times. Close to La Scala and in the centre of the Fashion District it is value for money. On the down...

It is not out first experience with this hotel and every time in the past it was perfect: location truly excellent for shopping, very attentive staff on reception, nice room with all amenities for a short visit. But this time we saw something very strange going with in-rooms safe. It broke on our first day and staff made no efforts...

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comment. It's always important to have feedbacks. I regret to read that your last stay was not up to your expectations. Let me take this opportunity to explain what occurs with the room safe. The Front Office Staff is only allowed to open the safe but not to reset it. Only the Maintenance and...

On the expensive side but absolutely worth it. This was a truly beautiful hotel very close to Via Montenapoleone (shopping heaven), with very courteous, friendly and attentive staff, truly lovely rooms and a great (albeit pricey) breakfast. My sister and I stayed here two nights and would have happily stayed longer. The hotel is on a quiet street right across...

Just a few minutes walk to Monte Napoleone metro station, the hotel is located in the shopping heart of Milan. It only takes around 20 minutes to walk to the Dome from the hotel. The staff were very helpful and the room well appointed, if a little small for two adults with substantial luggage. We did not sample the breakfast but had drinks prior to leaving for the airport which were a bit pricey! One big vote of thanks though, we had a nice bottle of sparkling wine in the room when we arrived,...

Very happy with my 5 day stay in this lovely hotel. The hotel is perfectly located its walking distance to most major tourist sites. Set in the middle of luxury shopping and surrounded by great places to dine. The staff were very good and I would definitely stay there again.

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
