It's a beautiful elegant and clean hotel situated close to the train station. In Sept. 2016 my husband and I arrived and we were graciously greeted at the front desk and were upgraded to the Junior Suite. It was simply beautiful, with a large sofa and bathroom. Do not hesitate to reserve this room. Large and spacious. The morning breakfast...

The hotel is located very close to the central station which is ideal for arriving with airport busses or to use the underground to roam Milan. It's very clean but the room was quite small. Breakfast good but they don't offer toasted bread. The area is a bit dodgy in the evening but not far from the city centre.

The hotel is very close to the Milan train station. The room and bathroom interior is nicely done. The breakfast, though has limited options, was good. There are many eateries around the hotel. Carrefour is also quite close.

Whilst the hotel is spotlessly clean and close to the Central Train station for arriving in and departing Milan, it provides free wifi, that is where it's positives end. The rooms are not big although in good condition and very clean, the beds are very hard and if at the front of the hotel they are quite noisy (it is...

Andreola Hotel is a short walk from Milan Central station, Hotel is easy to find and check in a breeze. Rooms clean roomy and bed high standard. Quiet neighbourhood, Staff assisted us well and breakfast was spectacular. A real gem of a hotel and easy to walk or rail to city centre.

The Andreola almost seems like a boutique hotel. My single room was spacious with a nice queen size bed. The public areas were all very nice. Breakfast was included and really excellent. The location was very good- Milan's magnificent Central Station, a site in its own right, is just up the block, as is the Metro (10 mins to the...

Charming Italian family-owned hotel. My wife and I stayed at this hotel during the Christmas period -- literally celebrated Christmas 2016 in Milan. In fact, during our stay, we coincidentally bumped into Mr Andreola (the descendant) at the lift -- he was hosting that day the Christmas lunch with his family and relations. As it was still early then, he...

We stayed at Andreola Hotel on our visit to Milan in March. The hotel is very convenient to Milano Centrale station being within 2 blocks. The room was well apportioned and comfortable. The included breakfast was great - it included a very large variety of baked goods, cereals, yogurts, fruit, eggs, and meat. The hotel also organized our transfer to...

This is a great hotel. The check in was so easy even though we were early. The room was very luxurious for the price. Lovely breakfast and great staff. Only stayed a night but used the luggage room after check out, very efficient.

Stayed for 2 nights. The hotel was pretty quiet, probably due to the time of year. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious, with good sized bathroom and a decent shower. The hotel had an atmosphere of old world charm, and was furnished accordingly. The location is perfect for public transport. Milan Centrale Station is less...

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Andreola Central is one of the many historical 4-star hotels in Milan that opened at the same time the Central train station moved to its current location, originally behind the Spanish walls (currently Piazza della Repubblica). The hotel is located in Via Scarlatti, an extension to the Central train station's Galleria delle Carrozze which ends in Corso Bueonos Aires. Over the long and venerable years since its establishment, many VIPs have patronized the hotel: Fausto Coppi, the bicycle champion, prize-winning boxer Primo Carnera and Italian soccer stars during the sixties when the first player contracts were negotiated. ... more   less
