Milan was our last stop on a 5 city tour (Paris, Lucerne, Venice, Rome and Milan) of Europe and the Hotel Soperga was the worst and the most expensive of all the hotels we've stayed at. We knew that hotels in Europe are sparse and cramped compared to hotels here but really....the management can do better. The hotel lobby was...

This hotel was exactly what we were looking for. It is within walking distance of the central train station in Milan and had two twin beds and a private bathroom. The room was small but clean and air conditioned. The front desk was friendly and spoke several different languages, English, French, Italian and German from what I observed. There is...

We began our honeymoon in Milan, mostly as a "base camp one" for our Italy travels. We didn't have high expectations for the Soperga, so we were not sorely disappointed in the sparse accomodations. For Milan, the Soperga was a good value for the money we spent. We even had a giggle about the leaking shower and broken toliet bowl....

I don't know what italian standard is, but this hotel was under average of 3 stars hotels I have seen over the europe. Small rooms, funny old fashioned furniture hardly staying, small bathroom with a funny shower. Water kept running through WC..we rather fixed it ourselves :) Very dirt carpet. Thin walls, so you can hear every noise from the...

We stayed for a couple of nights at the hotel. The room was a bit old fashioned, but it's alright for the money you pay. 5 mins walking to the central station and subway, very convenient. Breakfast was very good but no warm dishes. Street noise was minimal. Comfy and clean in general. Would recommend it if you don't want...

We had a quad room for one evening, July 18, 2007. Upon our arrival I noticed the room smelled funny, the floor was stained and had not been vacuumed after former tenants plus the room was Hot. I asked for a new room or 2 double rooms, "no, we are all full." When we left the hotel to view DaVinci's...

Service was good. Breakfast selection was above average. Location close to train and subway was convenient. Street noise was minimal, but walls were paper thin, so better hope your neighbors are quiet. Restaurant at #32 Soperga just north of the Hotel about half a block was excellent - good food, inexpensive and good service.

We stayed there one night for the Macef (one of the biggest fair in Milan) so the price was high, but it usual in these periods. Yes, rooms are a bit small but clean and with a comfy bed. Good breakfast with a good choice even if, actually, bread finishes soon. Overall a good stay.

I had to stop in Milan twice, once on the trip from Paris to Venice, and once to catch a morning flight out of Milan to London. I was simply looking for a clean, safe place to sleep for the night near the train station. Hotel Soperga was great for this. Reception was still open at 23:30 when I walked...

Staying in Bicocca

Neighbourhood Profile
Although Bicocca is a peripheral district, many visitors will find it appealing. The district is enveloped by the immense Parco Nord (North Park), one of the largest parks in Europe. Inside is the theater Arcimboldi, one of the most important contemporary theaters where concerts and shows are organized. In the same area, there is the University of Milan Bicocca, whose distinct architecture rivals a movie set. Coffee shops, a multiplex and a shopping center are in the campus, along with the Fondazione Hangar Bicocca, one of the most famous museums of Contemporary Art.
