Firstly, positives are that the location is awesome. It's only 20 mins walk from all the main touristic areas. There are loads of bars and restaurants around the area. The breakfast was fine if you have no allergies, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, croissants, toast, cereals, juices, coffee choice etc (if you have any allergies - don't book) The staff were...

Centrally located, walking distance to Moscova station. Lot of restaurants nearby. Rooms are comfortable and bathrooms nice size. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly. All in all - good hotel to stay in Milan worth the money. Thank you.

Stayed there for 2 nights. The hotel has a great location, walking distance to all main attractions, plus it is very close to Moscova metro station and other public transport. The room and bathroom were large, clean and warm (important for February). Nothing elaborate as far as the decor of the room, but still nice. The biggest problem is the...

We booked Hotel Ritter through booking.com, the pictures weren't great and there was the odd bad review but it was both really cheap and very central so we went for it. When we arrived it exceeded expectations instantly!! The hotel has obviously had a refurb, and the pictures online need updating. It isn't the luxury style but you get alot...

We were little bit scared to read some opinions about this hotel but we got two double rooms that were spacious, clean and toilet was also good. Bed was comfortable and we did not hear a noise. The room seemed to have been recently reformed as everything looked new. The toilet and shower were working properly and there were plenty...

The hotel is in a great location. This is good for a short stay. We just get in the bedroom after the check in when the fire alarm started going off. We need to rush out side and when we came back the person from the help desk just ignored my questions, no explanation was given to us. Staff was...

I've been in Milan for Epiphany and sales. Ritter hotel is in a confortable position, 10minutes from Milano centrale station, near metro stop Moscova, bus and tram pass not far away from hotel. Room is clean but its furnishings are old. Bathroom is clean and with modern facilities. Room lacks electric kettle to make a hot tea for cold winter...

Good for a short stay, comfy bed, shower was small, nice breakfast friendly staff, would have been nice if they had a kettle in room, when you walk out plz turn right as this is the old town with lots of shops that go on forever, it is expensive with lots of security and police, the cathedral is a must,...

Staying in Brera

Neighbourhood Profile
Brera
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
