- Staff don't speak English (maybe it's my problem not speaking Italian...?) - No lift (ok for me but not for old people staying upper floors) - No soundproof whatsoever, could hear from next door's shower, tv, talking, to people walking stairs and opening doors downstairs etc. (it was really annoying as I really needed a rest) - Broken fan... Don't go there! If you do, you'll soon find out why I said that. And be careful too, they tried to charge me double what they quoted. Places like this give Italy a bad name, sorry to say. I can't say any more, as I'm afraid to. Enough said. Trip Advisor wants more: and obliges me to mention the dirt... More

I was here in early September for a football match, we didn't want to pay loads for a hotel and to find a room For 4 was tricky. We booked this and when we arrived the man at the reception tried to change me again! The room was fine for 2 nights we stayed

After arriving at the San Giovanni hotel I found it quaint. However, when I got to the reception the owner was a little creepy. He then asked me to pay by cash and said 'we won't charge your card' and that they preferred cash. Since arriving home he has charged my card. I have received no reply to my email... More

Nice little hotel. The staff was polite and very friendly. They helped us with tips on where to eat, where to go for drinks (bars and restaurants, markets) near the hotel. The Wi-Fi was excellent and free of charge, even the printing of few documents was free of charge. We only slept in the hotel, didn't go to breakfast, but... More

This hotel is terrible. The room we got reeked of sigarettes. The shower had mould on it. The worst part was the fact that the bathroom was so small that you could hardly move without touching the wall in the shower, which I find disgusting given the state of bad hygiena in this hotel.Getting out of the shower without touching... Given that our stay coincided with Milan Design week the rate charged by the hotel was reasonable - on the basis that it was the lowest cost option in the city at £150 for one night Budgetplaces.com online booking service only gave the option of single room or twin beds and since I was travelling with my wife I selected...
