I don't know about the hotel, but the bar seems quite nice. It has a promenade in one of mai piazzas of Stresa and it was very pleasant to go there and drink a glass of wine before having dinner (in Piemontese). The prices are really good, especially when compared to the most of the bars and cafés in Stresa.

Stayed in a bigger room with 3 beds and had a balcony with the square view - loved it. The room is cleaned daily and everything needed is there. The furniture is old, but it did not disturb us. Very nice breakfast that you can enjoy outside or inside as you wish. Stresa is a lovely, little town.

We stayed in Hotel Elena for a week. Stresa was a perfect choice for exploring the Lake Maggiore area (by boat 3 minutes walk to the ferry terminal) as well as taking the train (15 minute walk to train-station) to Milan where we stayed the next week. The hotel has an excellent location on a nice piazza, in the middle...

Hotel Elena - a welcoming place for a weary traveler. Laura, Marco and staff went out of their way to welcome this weary traveler. The service is impeccable and the smiles are on the house. Laura and staff know the area quite well and were eager to help any way that they could. Friendly, safe and unbeatable location!

Great place to base your holiday in Stresa. The staff are really friendly and the place has a very homely feel. The breakfast is lovely with lots of choice (continental style). The location is perfect being on the main square in the middle of Stresa. Lots of bars and restaurants are within a few metres offering a great choice of...

We stayed in the Hotel Elena for three nights. One day's cold weather and rain meant we avoided the boat trips, but we really enjoyed wandering around the cobbled streets, trying the many good restaurants which are less than 100m from the hotel. Fancy hotels are nearby with a wide choice of restaurants. Souvenirs were cheaper than Florence or Rome....

I was recommended the hotel by my colleagues because of the good location and reasonable pricing. Because we stayed most of the days out, it was enough to have a quiet room with bathroom in a good location

After walking along the front at Stresa we once again visited Bar Elena, where we had been on our previous visit to Stresa. The bar staff actually recognised us and made us most welcome. As the terrace was full, we were invited to sit inside. We were given the menu very promptly and as we knew what we wanted, we...

We try to stay hotels that have a local atmosphere. (If visiting Venice try and get the attic room at B&B Sandra). Hotel Elena certainly lived up to our expectations. It is located on the main Piazza in the centre of the town. The room was large with a balcony overlooking the Piazza, perfect for evening drinks or snacks from...
