Massimo was a very face at the end of a long journey for us and his welcome made us feel at home right away. The rooms were clean and spacious, the beds were comfy and we even got a cotbed for our son. Although the bathrooms are shared, it is only with one other room so it's not like you... More

This beautiful B&B is a welcome respite from the heavily touristy but beautifully located Stresa. It is set up the hill from town in a very quiet area. The house is beautiful, the rooms clean, accommodating, and restful. The common room downstairs is relaxing as is the one upstairs. Parking is very easy. Though you can walk down the hill... More

Here you can find a really friendly atmosphere! We had a good glass of wine on the balcony at the sunset and it was great! Rooms and bathrooms are clean and cozy and all is really peaceful. We really enjoyed breakfast with fresh "croissants" on the terrace. We loved it and hope to have the chance to be back again.

Our stays are always short (1 night). This B&B is our yearly stop on the way to Tuscany, Puglia, ... Nice B&B, close to Stresa and only a few km's from the highway. Clean rooms and bathroom Very friendly hosts. Good breakfast, served on the terrace with a great view on the "Lago Maggiore" Important for us is that our... More

We spent a week here recently and enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed it being served out in the sunshine on the balcony. We had booked a room with a balcony overlooking the lake but the garden had grown too tall to see the lake. The only down-side is that the ensuite is not attached to... More

We booked Lo Scoiattolo for the last leg of our vacation in Italy just looking for a comfortable place to stay before we fly out of Italy via Milan Malpensa airport. We got more than we wanted! The attic was cozy and charming. Not good for very tall people or those not very agile at avoiding the roof beams. But... More

We stayed in the hotel for one night to see Stresa and Boromean islands. And actually enjoyed it a lot. Location is a bit far from the city center of Stresa, but we had a car and in 4 minutes were in the city (free parking is easy to find there). Owner of the hotel is a very friendly person... More

Stresa is a pretty expensive resort, so Massimo's place is a really good option. as long as you are prepared to walk.or drive into the town, because you are high above Stresa . The walk down takes about 15-20 minutes and quite abit more on the way back! Massimo is a very good host and full of suggestions for both... More
