We stayed here the last night of our long trip in Italy and Ireland. It is no frills, bare bone, and very low key hotel. If you will be in La Spezia to party this would be the place to stay! There is no AC so we had the windows open, we could hear people partying till about 2am. So... More

We stayed here for 2 nights a few days ago. The location was perfect, its quite central to La Spezia and just around the corner from the bus stop to porto vanere. The train station is about a 15 minute walk away, so its easy to get around the cinque terre. The room was very basic, but I didn't expect... More

This is a relatively inexpensive hotel, good for backpackers or other budget-consious travelers. 10 min walk from the railway station, easy to find. Right in the city center, close to the port (where there are walking/biking paths), restaurants, shops. No AC. There could be noise off the street at night. Shared bathroom, very small. The hotel owner is very helpful,... More

Perfect for the traveler on a budget, especially if you want to go to the Cinque Terre. Clean and simple rooms. Although there is only one share bathroom for several rooms. Cinque Terre is easily accessed through the train station and trains run frequently.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. I take this opportunity to point out that our hotel has 3 double rooms with private bathroom and one triple room with private bathroom. The shared bathroom is shared only by 2 double bedrooms and one single room, so if all the rooms were occupied, is used ONLY by 5 people. Thank... More

Small, friendly hotel in the 2nd floor of a quiet walking-street. Pros: central location, very nice hosts and well-working WiFi. I had a big single room. Rather small shared bathroom, how ever in good condition and clean. Very friendly manager taking his time to introduce me to La Specia and Cinque Terre. Well worth the (small) amount of money they... Pros: - Big single room for the price, my room was around 10 sq meters. - TV, sink and mirror in the room. - Good value for money. - Good wifi connection in the room. Cons: - As there where only shutters to close my window, and it was facing a small courtyard, there was some noise from the neighbours... More

Only stayed in La Spezia for a night and spent most of our day in Cinque Terre. Albergo Teatro was the cheap option we were looking for. It’s about a 20 minute walk from the train station and hard to find (Google maps does not have the address located in the correct place and there isn’t a super visible sign).... More

Thank you so much for your review and your appreciation. And 'exactly as you say, our hotel only has rooms for non-smokers. In particular, in Italy it is absolutely forbidden to smoke in public areas of the hotels, and violators are punished with a fine. In our rooms there are ashtrays, in addition to the trash bin in the bathroom,... More

The location is great - right in the middle of the town. The room was totally ok, had shared bathroom but everything was always clean. We had a sink in our room which was a good thing. There was no view from the window but it didn't bother us because La Spezia is not a place where to sit indoors.... More

As mentioned by most of the other traveler, this Hotel offer what they promise, basic but clean and comfortable rooms, is managed by a super-courteous couple that have plenty of suggestions to give and ready to do the extra mile if needed. Communication is not a problem because they speak English. The place is centrally located in a lovely pedestrian street.... More
