The Melia is located in an inviting upscale, safe location. It is an easy walk to all areas of interest yet remains a home base that is both inviting and luxuriously appointed. If you have confirmed your reservation at a discounted rate from Hotwire.com you have hit the proverbial lotto. This is a 5 star experience in a 3 star...

The melia hotel is located in a nice quiet residential neighborhood. The service was excellent but I wouldn't say the same for the build quality of the rooms. To start with, the A/C doesn't work, then again its November and in Italy they usually kill the A/C after Oct 15. But here's where the problem begins, its 25C in the...

One of the highly rated hotels in Genova, it is located in a quiet, residential area. Room is basic, just enough space for your luggage, bathroom is adequate, but towels look worn out. However, both the room itself and bathroom are very clean. Bed was comfortable, and there are extra pillows available. However, there were no slippers and bottled water...

Very nice room and comfortable facilites. Surroundings are quiet the hotel being apart the city center. Ask to the desk before take a turkish bath, may be they have to warm the room. If you have special needs as vegetarian or vegan food it's a bit hard to take appropriate food.

Foolishly, we decided to walk from the train station to our destination, having chosen a well-located place to stay, but we had not reckoned on the terrain in Genoa, which is an urban sprawl on several levels. It led to several missed turns and an unexpectedly extended tour of Via XX Settembre. Dragging our over-packed suitcases in the afternoon sunshine,...

Very nice room and comfortable facilites. Surroundings are quiet the hotel being apart the city center. Nevertheless personnel is not very kindly and some extra fees are over the top (parking for instance). Breakfast is not at the level for a 5 stars hotel.

We stayed at the Melia Genoa for three nights in July. We booked online through the Melia website and were given a $20 euro credit per day of our stay in addition to complementary breakfast. The property is beautiful and clean. Our room was immaculate and we had a partial view of the sea! The restaurant offered reasonably priced food...

Stayed here for 2 nights. Hotel very clean and staff friendly. The hotel is in an excellent position with the main areas of Genoa only a short walk away. Be careful as walk back is uphill. The hotel bar is expensive but the bar across the road is excellent (very generous measures).

My husband and i stayed at the Melia Genova for 2 nights in September. The hotel is located in a beautiful residential area, but within walking distance (with stairs) or a quick taxi ride to the historic center. The hotel is nicely furnished and the rooms are quite comfortable and quiet. The staff at the hotel were more than happy...
