Cinque Terre's five rugged cities cling to stone and breathe the mist of salt and sea. How better to enjoy the UNESCO-awarded landscape than to dwell up high, overlooking the sea, near the owls, whose hoot greeted me one star-lit night while I sat on...More

We highly recommend Il Pirata Delle 5 Terre which is very close to Giuliano's place. There is a wonderfully humorous pastry chef and he makes delicious breakfast pastries. Just don't fall in love any one particular pastry because he makes them fresh everyday and some aren't repeated. They also have a Cappuccino Americano which comes in a huge cup, haha! There's also a nice little shop on the main street about half way to the waterfront. They have a good variety of to-go food and then you can go sit on the rocks in the harbor to eat. Lots of good options.
