The room was spacious and clean. On the negative side the owner/mgmt wanted to keep our passports until paid. So we paid cash, and never got a receipt. There are no standard hours for reception, or key drop off. They don't clean the place up during a three day stay. They took our towels, and didn't replace them until asked.... More

Yes, it is up high in the side of the mountain above the coast, so yes, you must climb many steps to ascend to this heavenly location...and wow, is it worth it! We two couples of two generations found much to enjoy here. In fact it was our favorite place in Italy! The "younger" couple complained and huffed and puffed... More

The only reason this gets 4 and not 5 stars is because I expected a terrace overlooking Vernazza. Because we had booked the family room we were down the street and had no access to this terrace shown in he pictures. Nevertheless the room was great, authentic and viewed the street below. You opened the windows and saw old women... More

While accommodation in Vernazza is much higher than other locations nearby, staying in the town is a great experience and something I would highly recommend. We had the street view which was a bit cheaper than the sea view and it was still excellent. Early in the day and later in the day are fantastic when all the day trippers... More

I knew we were going to have a good view by the reviews I had read but the reality was even better. This was our last major stop on a 17 day family vacation so after 114 steps with luggage up to the apartment, I thought I was going to hear a bunch of complaints. Instead all I heard was... More

Spent 3 gorgeous nights sitting on the large, private terrace overlooking the town, watchtower, and sea sipping wine. Can't beat it. Yes, the room is quite small and may not be for everyone, but was comfortable enough. Would much rather be outside anyway with the view! The friendly owners were quick to supply a fan and beach towels when requested.... More

We rented this apt for our family of four three nights in September. I was a bit hesitant due to the reviews, but it worked out just fine. This large private terrace was a dream. We spent most nights eating foccacia or pizza or something else we could grab from town easily on our large, private terrace overlooking Vernazza. With a bottle of local wine of course! A little tricky to find, but well worth it. Owners are very welcoming and speak good english. Given we spent as much time as possible on the terrace... More

others will diss the size of the room, and yes it was quite small, but the veranda more than makes up for it as well as the view - where else will you get this 360 fabulousness? a cascading cliff to your left with the roaring, crashing sea, the tower and vineyards behind you, the churches, the colorful village, the... “Ask for the 2 level Room with private terrace. You have to climb many stairs, be sure to pack light or use a backpack. Before returning to your room in the evening pick up wine and snacks, it's a long way down to town to pick up supplies for the evening. Sipping wine and enjoying the sunset on the terrace is wonderful.”
