Very friendly proprietor, Enrico. Well maintained property. Decent breakfast each day. Two couples, two rooms, refrigerator, air conditioning, TV, great shower/bath (water pressure excellent) all the comforts. Have to laugh at other reviews. If hills are not for you, maybe you should rethink the Cinque Terre region and just sail by on a ferry. It's all hills, baby! Where they...

First of all, Hotel del Sole is UUUUUP the hill in Riomaggiore, so if you're hiking Cinque Terra as we are, get ready to exercise those uphill muscles a little bit more. While the rooms are basic, they're everything that you need, the views are very nice and it's Enrico's personal touch that has earned this place the Award of...

This is one of the few places to stay in the Cinque Terra with on-site parking. It was okay, but we had a rather "end of season" welcome and the hosts seem tired of of it all. While we were there, all of the "villages" were so over-run by tourists that we regretted coming at all. The paths were nearly...

Yes, you can drive in the Cinque Terre. You can park right in front of this hotel. There is a steep hill to go down to see the town but this goes for any town here. It is so worth it. Great restaurants in town and the boat to see the other islands is the way to go. The bed...

You may experience some strong sensations if you get there by car, but once there the best advice is to park it at the hotel and forget it until you leave. Enrico will advise you for your walks or any other activities you may care to do in the area, and will make a point of doing it in your...

With lots of experience with corporate travel, leave your usual list behind and be prepared to enjoy smaller and charming. Nice location close to the main activities, it was perfect with a nice breakfast to start the day. Enrico was a great host. He even helped us extend our stay by finding us that last night we really wanted to...

From the start, Enrico was very friendly & welcoming! He gave us lots of local tips which really made our trip special! Room was huge & clean & really nice! Bedsheets actually smelt like comfort & bed was very comfortable! We had a top room with a lovely view! Stairs weren't exactly hard to climb, especially if you've come to...

The location of the hotel was at the top of the hill overlooking the city. It had fenced in parking, which in the Cinque Terre towns, is very unusual. We wanted a room that was high up, with a view. Boy did we get it! We had to walk up 62 tall stairs that were outside to get to our...

Enrico and his wife were very accommodating. They provided lots of information about the town and nearby sites. Highly recommend staying here. This is not a 2 star hotel, it is so much more! Great value for money. The hotel is in perfect location. Only a 2 minute walk down the street to see the water and train station!
