Perfect location in the main street of Riomaggiore, right in front of Bar Centrale. Steep stairs to the 3rd level, lovely room with en-suite. Very basic with kettle and mugs. Balcony on the 4th level. All guests have access to the balcony. Barbara was very nice and we felt very welcome. Good value for money as accommodation is quite expensive in Cinque Terre. We booked 9 months in advance. Great stay and super close to everything. Laundromat just across the road and 2 supermarkets in the main road. Great stay in CT!!! We will be back one day!!!
We were lucky enough to be able to stay at Bianchi in Riomaggiore during our visit to the Cinque Terre. Barbara and her husband are very lovely and made our stay enjoyable. The rooms are decent sized, have private bathrooms and there is wifi in the main area. There is also a roof terrace where I wish I spent more time! The windows opened to a beautiful immersive view of Rio, and let us listen to the sounds of the locals early in the morning and late at night. Thank you for a great stay!
It was a wonderful stay in Riomaggiore, and very good value for the area which can be expensive. There was some miscommunication about when we were to arrive due to the trains being late, but a lot of that was our fault as well. It isn't good for those who can not climb stairs, but for that Cinque Terre will be tough in general. The hostess was really sweet and helpful, and the room was spacious and clean. All in all, a great stay! We would return.
Clean and modern room interiors with airconditioning (essential), while located in a typical Riomaggiore dwelling so one needs to be prepared for a very steep staircase to get to the accommodation. We were able to hang washing on lines on the roof patio which made life much easier, especially when travelling in summer.
We stayed here for two nights. Our host, Barbara, was lovely and ready to help us with what whatever we needed. The rooms were spacious, well appointed and air conditioned (a must if you are travelling in the summer months). Another plus was washing facilities (a basin and washing line) which made washing our essentials much easier. The hotel is well priced but it should be noted you are required to pay cash. We were also provided with free wifi and the hotel had a fridge which they allow guests to use for purchases (great if you are planning on buying food at the market etc). On a side note: Riomaggiore and indeed the entire Cinque Terra are built on very steep hills. All the hotels and buildings have very steep stairs as a result, including the Banchi. We used a porter service (about €4 a bag) to manage this. I would recommend asking Barbara to organise a service with you if you are travelling with large suitcases as getting up and down the stairs is difficult. …
