Yes, the rooms are small, yes your knees touch the shower, yes there is only one english speaking channel but c'mon. Are you there for American comforts or the charm, the views, the service, the great breakfast, oh and the art absolutely fantastic! I can't imagine a better place to stay to experience all the region has to offer. We...

We spent one night here on our recent Italian vacation, and it was great! We had a room on the first floor with a balcony and a lovely view of the town and it's main street/hill, as well as the sea. The view is really stunning! The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, providing us with the ferry and...

We knew the hotel was up the hill and that was fine. No lift meant carrying luggage up one floor and the receptionist thankfully took one of the bags up. Unfortunately the floor of our room was dirty and the shower screen fell apart. When we complained the faults were rectified and we discovered when we came back from dinner...

Great hotel, very friendly staff always willing to help out. Large assortment of foods for breakfast. Good location with an amazing view, especially at sun set. Our travel agent only booked us in a standard room but we when apse arrived we had been upgraded to a balcony room which was such a bonus and really made our stay. Rooms...

We had a lovely 2 night stay in this hotel - we arrived by car in Riomaggiore without a booking so were very pleased to find somewhere to stay - and with parking onsite too! We really liked the location - up the hill above the town but accessible via some steps so it wasn't too long a walk at...

Although the uphill trek to our hotel was daunting; the view from our room was worth every step. We had a sea view and a lovely balcony. On day 2 we caught on to the bus schedule and timed our return to the hotel according to the bus. What a relief! The staff was super friendly, the hotel was spotless...

During peak season choices were limited but this hotel was fine. Rooms were very small especially the bathroom that you could hardly move in and one of the bed slates came away. However, the staff were more than helpful and the views from the balcony were stunning. There is no lift either to a number of stairs to carry heavy...

Riomaggiore in August is maxed out - streets are clogged, tourists stream in by the busloads, and hotels are full or are very nearly so. I rolled into Riomaggiore late on a Saturday night and learned this the hard way. After checking all the hotels on the main strip, I started to leave to move on the the next village...

Stayed here for 3 nights and would never stay here again firstly we booked s room with a sea view but the room did not have a sea view but the Window looked out to a staircase that when people walked past the noise echoed through the room. When I spoke to the staff about this they said that all...

After getting off the train it was a bit of a trek up to the hotel with backbacks for luggage but it got us prepared for the hiking we were about to do. If possible take the shuttle bus. We had a great view from our room. Our bathroom however was very small and we had to practically have to...
