Hotel Villa Argentina dominates the antique village of Riomaggiore .The small e quaint hotel has most its room heated with view of the sea and small sunny terrace ,all of which included private satellite TV, safe and ceiling fans. The hotel is in perfect position to begin some beautiful walks(via dell’amore) and hikes unite the towns in the midst of mother nature’s untainted scenery.

Great view and good hotel We stayed in a sea views balcony room and the views were breathtaking and a welcome relief from the crowds of Cinque Terre. The room was spotless, the staff excellent and a really good breakfast. The shower wasn’t great and a half sink made shaving interesting. But we would definitely stay again.

The hotel was clean and efficient. We had a room 200 metres away from the hotel. The breakfast was not self service, but ok. The main problem was the location, which was at the end of the town and quite high up (there was a lift nearby). There were no bars or restaurants nearby, so a walk was necessary.

Hotel Argentina is the best! We had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking Riomaggiore and view of the Gulf of Genoa. The lovely hostess made homemade breakfast bread which was delicious! I left my raincoat and hoodie in their lobby on the last day of our visit and the staff found my clothing and mailed back to me! I was impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the hotel staff and owners. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and strong shower in the renovated bathroom. We were glad that the nearby elevator near the church was working so the climb back and forth town was doable. The rates are reasonable and this hotel is in a great location for the money.

My husband and I visited Cinque Terra in June. We stayed at the Hotel Villa Argentina. It is located on the top of the town of Riomaggiore. Our room was small but very functional and clean. The view from our balcony made the climb up through the town and the four flights of stairs to get to our room totally worth it. Antonio and Alessandra are the lovely couple that run the hotel. Breakfast every morning was fantastic. Pastries, home made jams, meats, cheeses, and exceptional coffee. All the staff was incredibly friendly. We also enjoyed visiting the other villages that make up Cinque Terra. The train was easy to take from one place to the next. We loved our stay. Roger and Leslie Fiorini

I was there with my mom. A bit disappointed by the room (but it's everywhere like this...) and a lot by the breakfast, it's not continental... Very high in the city, the place is nice, and please Riomaggiore is awesome!

Receptionist who wears glasses too arrogant. after 6 hours of travel she treated me very badly because I said I didn't have a sign indicating the hotel. the sign hidden behind an overgrown wall. reception closes 8 PM. the rooms you can hear people screaming and bed walking. remembering that the reception is closed at 8PM. who to complain to? poor coffee, cake and iced fruit, bread of just one kind. hot orange juice car space 25 euros, car on the street with no private area and no sign saying it belongs to the hotel. we arrived one day and the place was occupied. who to complain ???? reception closes at 8 PM place so depressing that I didn't even take a picture

After much thought, we chose Hotel Villa Argentina and we were not disappointed. It is everything you read on their website and more. The friendly staff including Guilia, Lucca and Janelle welcomed us like family. Before booking we confirmed our room (#3) had a balcony overlooking the village and a beautiful panoramic view it is. The first couple days the breeze was cool enough but after that, the quiet, efficient A/C unit was a blessing on the warmer days. WiFi was adequate but occasionally fluctuated. The breakfast buffet is very good and features more than enough offerings to get the day started with boiled eggs, sliced meats and cheeses, quiche, pastries, breads, cereals, fresh cut and whole fruits. Cappuccinos and café au laits are awesome. Fruit juice was nice but missed having orange juice. Once you arrive, there’s no need to use the car so it is left in a private garage 5 minutes walk from the hotel for 25E/night. Another 5 minute walk to the public elevator drops you out about midway into the village saving a lot of steps down from and back up to the hotel. If you’re looking for a very nice hotel with balcony overlooking the village, I highly recommend Hotel Villa Argentina.

We travel in October to avoid the crowd in high season. But still This hotel is too expensive for its quality. We arrived at noon (very early) and were assigned the worst room on top floor facing the cliff, damp and dark. No elevator, we have to walk many steps every time. The room is so small that it is almost impossible to move around. The mattress is the cheapest mattress I have ever slept on. I have terrible hip and back pain the next morning. We have to leave the next day because we can’t sleep in this room anymore . ( we booked for 2 nights) they charged us for half rate for the cancellation fee. For anyone who wants to travel to cinque terre, my advise is to stay at hotel in the nearest town and take train to visit the terre it will be cheaper and easier. ( we paid 25 euro for the parking just to stay at this hotel on top of euro 150 a night for the room). Not worth it.

My sister & I arrived at the hotel mid afternoon & got the best service we've had since holidaying in different parts if Italy. The friendly, welcoming staff carried our cases into the hotel foyer & within minutes offered us a cold drink of either water or beer. I noticed they did packed lunches & asked if they could make a few sandwiches as we hadn't eaten since breakfast. Our bags were carried down the steps to the spacious apartment & a short time later delicious sandwiches, fruit, sweet slice & drinks arrived on a tray. We have a lovely balcony with a great view & even an outdoor clothes line. Great location to down town and the friendliest staff ever this hotel is fantastic 😊

I stayed at the Villa Argentina in October 2018 for two nights. I almost fainted going up hill with my suitcase but the view from there was magnificent. Check in was quick and we were even offered some snacks. The room was OK. everything we needed and the breakfast was very good. my daughter forgot her coat and the staff were super helpful and assisted us in having it shipped to my home country.
