Albergo Marina is a small, family-run hotel about a 5-minute walk from the water in Monterosso. My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights during June-July 2013 as part of a 2-week honeymoon. I booked it primarily because the reviews expounded on the hospitality of the hosts, and the outdoorsy orientation of the establishment generally. Both turned out to...

Very friendly and accommodating family staff gives you a real taste of Italian hospitality. The location is perfect, right amongst the locals and steps to great restaurants. Our room was nice and the breakfast was the best we had in our 2 week Italy trip. As a bonus they serve an afternoon pasta, salad and fruit spread. Highly recommend !

We stayed at Hotel Marina for 4 nights. The room was on the 4th floor and i would not recommend it as the hot water pipes were under the tiles and the room was always too warm. The bathroom was also very small. Family we were with, had bigger bathrooms. The breakfast was great in the lemon garden and we...

We stayed at Albergo Marina for 2 nights. It is in the center of Monterosso, and is a nice, quiet hotel. It is not fancy, but it has a pretty garden/breakfast area (really good omelets) and the room was small, but adequate. We don't have anything to compare it to in Monterosso - as this was our first trip -...

We stayed at Hotel Marina for 4 nights in June 2013. Out of all of the cinque terre towns, we decided on Monterosso due to our luggage. We had no problem rolling our luggage out of the train station and into old town Monterosso to find Hotel Marina. Greeted by Erika she directed us to our room. Unfortunately they advertise...

We had a lovely 6 night stay at Albergo Marina in June. Lovely, friendly staff. Large, clean room (although the bed was two singles pushed together and incredibly squeaky!). Breakfast was just delightful outside in the lemon garden - quite an incredible spread with omelettes and waffles every day! There is also a buffet everyday from 2-5pm but we were...

We stayed @ the Hotel Marina June 2013. A great experience. The quad room was perfect for the 4 of us ( 2 adults and 2 teens). A great location lots of restaurants nearby. A lively and 'real' part of Italy. The breakfast in the lemon garden was a great way to stay our long days. Ciao Grazie to our...

Our party of 11 adults stayed 2 nights at Hotel Marina in late September, 2012. We enjoyed the accommodations, staff, and breakfast very much. The location is a wonderful base from which to explore Cinque Terre. The family that runs this hotel has gone to great lengths recovering from the big flood in fall of 2011, and their effort shows....

When we walked to the hotel, we first picked the wrong one and they were not so friendly but then we got a warm welcome at Albergo Marina. Our room was nice and we liked hearing and seeing what was going by on the lane below. A lot of Italian. Some might find it a little noisy but it we...
