Less than 10mins walk from the train station. We requested a ground floor room as my mum wasnt fit for climbing stairs. The room was nice and cosy, lovely design, with a big balcony. No kettle provided

Hard to get ahold of the owner and check in but once we got to the room it was quite big and spacey and had a really good location on the boardwalk in the new town of Monterosso. AC was new and silent. Shower head was broken. Hotels are pricey in Monterosso, feel it was good value for money.

We were in apartment 72 which was directly on the beach front in the centre of Monterosso. The room was large and clean and had a large bathroom with toilet and bidet in it. You were also given towels to go to the beach with. You are right next to the train station. It does not have a lift so... More

I didn't think I could give five stars to a place that has no reception, didn't answer the phone, you pick up the keys elsewhere, and you have to go through three unmarked doors and take luggage up two flights of stairs to get there. But our room was great. Very new with a very upmarket well done renovation. And... More

We arrived late due to train issues and found the check in room for Affittacamere Lo Scoglio. A large man with a bandana checked us in by demanding payment and our passports. We asked to see the room and that's when the real fun began. As we were leaving, a customer showed up to say the toilet, shower, and tv... More

This is not a hotel! What it is is a third floor Affittacamere: rooms with common area on third floor, above residential apartments, very well lighted, secure, very clean, great bathrooms and showers (we were in #2), daily service, etc. Near very good restaurants (see TA), great views of ocean and 5 Terre, two blocks from train. Now, re bad... More

Finding the apartment was easy. The difficult part is finding the office where you check in. It's a couple blocks away and we struggled to find it as darkness approached... THE GOOD: This was a very beautifully decorated apartment that had 4 separate, locked bedrooms for private use. We shared a common living room. This was nice as we got... More

We booked prematurely before reading all the reviews. We were a little nervous about our stay here. While not a traditional hotel, we had an amazing experience! The check in area is one street over, we found it just fine. We received our keys and the gentleman that everyone has complained about assisted us with our luggage was very friendly.... More

Friends and I planned a trip to Cinque Terre for 3 days at the end of our Italy vacation. After scouring the options, we made a reservation at Affittacamere Lo Scoglio. This is an operation where a single manager rents rooms in a number of different buildings. BEWARE - though the picture and description of the room you think you... More

When we booked this hotel we did not get a confirmation for 1 of the 2 rooms, so we booked that room again and then they charged us twice , when we arrived the told us we were not booked in. After waiting for the manager to come they decided we were booked in. We asked him about the double... More
