Room had a bathroom but no toilet. Apparently this is in the small print, but naively assumed that if there is an en suite, then there would be a loo, without having to read the small print. Toilet in hall, had no loo paper. I feel like it's not asking too much. Also, don't put a cup down on the...

This property is in the center of town close to everything. If you're not a morning person this location is beside a church first bell is at 8 am. Property is old shower is very small and is a step up shower. For those with mobility issues I would choose another property. It is a budget hotel pretty much basic...

where to start: 2 bathrooms per floor but one is close whole night, water in the shower with almost no pressure and barely above 20 degrees, beds 70cm wide instead of standard 90. no ac. so hot in summer. location Is nice, will avoid at all costs.

It gets 2 stars because of it's location, which is bang in the centre of town and a few minutes stroll from the station, and it was generally clean and well kept. There isn't much else to be positive about. The room we were provided had a double bed, despite clearly booking a twin room. The replacement room was tiny....

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, a bus tour with a group of collegues, and from the comfy and well-equipped rooms to the location to our welcome on arrival - there's nothing to criticize. Our highlight was Mister Stefano, who did his very best to keep us happy with our breakfast, which was prepared and presented with utmost...

I would give the Hotel Centrale a zero if it was possible as we never managed to even get in there, despite having booked and paid through booking.com, although by the sounds of others reviews it was a blessing in disguise. We arrived around 11:30am to drop off our suitcases. We were with my partner's relatives, who we were visiting...

The hotel was under refurbishment when we stayed there, but that did not change the comfort. The bedding and furniture were all new, and the facilities were fairly clean, the refurbishment dust were found everywhere, but that is expected. The breakfast is continental, but were nicely layed by the the owners/staff, the service overall was really good. Fair price and...

We found Trieste to be a charming city at the end of the Italian railway network. It is attractive, clean and hassle-free. This hotel is minutes from shops and restaurants and bars (including some known to James Joyce), and the Adriatic is at the bottom of the road. Off the tourist trail, but well worth a detour.

Acceptable standard, price and good location. Nice to be offered welcome drinks. However, bed was rock hard, funky smell in bathroom and broken shower handle squirting water to the side. But to be fair, we never checked if we could change rooms. Breakfast was ok, but not with any of the ordinary warm items, apart from fried eggs.

“Rooms are on two sides of the hotel, so depending on the season and the noise levels due to construction etc., it might be worth asking for a room facing S. Antonio Church (via Ponchielli, where the entrance is) or the side street on the right (don't know the name).”
