This quiet hotel in the heart of old Trieste is a gem. The rooms are spacious with modern bathroom and kitchen facilities, the breakfast is ample and the coffee is good -- and available any time of day. What makes this hotel special, however, is the staff. From the owner to the cleaners, everyone we encountered was helpful, friendly, and...

What a surprise! Stayed at Hotel Residence L'Albero Nascosto for 3 nights. This little gem is the perfect place for our explorations of Trieste and Carso area. Positive: Clean and spacious room Helpful and friendly staff The location was perfect for us Lots of restaurants nearby Negatives: No lift Driving/parking in Trieste L'Albero Nascosto exceeded our expectations in every way...

Staff was very nice and helpful, but the room was noisy. Could hear both alley and hallway traffic--was impossible to sleep the night. Also, the hotel only has staff between 8 AM and 8PM, so it felt a little awkward being in a foreign city without any resource available during that time. Was a good location, though--easy access to walk...

This is a wonderful hotel in the very center of Trieste. The room was fabulous--large and clean. The staff were always helpful and a good breakfast is provided. It's only about 5 minutes from the Piazza dell'Unita which is the center of cultural activity and is also near the seafront and docks. There are lots of restaurants nearby. The neighborhood...

I booked this hotel for my parents and i for a one night stay in Trieste early September. Trieste is a surprisingly beautiful city (I was expecting a grim port!) and this hotel was a great find. My parents had a gorgeous huge double room, I had a comfy twin. Both rooms were characterful, contemporary and welcoming. Kitchen/bathroom facilities were...

This was my twelfth trip to Italy and Hotel L’Albero Nascosto tops the list of hotels. Where do I begin the endless accolades for Aldo, the owner, his staff, and the physical property of L’Albero Nascosto? It started when my husband’s bag did not arrive at Rome Fiumicino Airport, nor did it appear for six days. On the way to...

Just spent two nights here. Wonderful hotel in center of town. Good rooms, facilities, great breakfast and brilliant staff - happy, helpfull and excellent English. One tip - if you can avoid bringing a car - DO - driving in Trieste is not for the faint hearted and is a big risk to your car insurance!

Having read the earlier reviews, we took a chance and booked this hotel for three nights. We could not have been more pleased with the room, the ambience, the value, the location and the help provided by the owner and his family. We were lucky enough to have the violette room at the top of this hotel in a restored...

This is a lovely, friendly and very spacious boutique hotel in the heart of old Trieste. The staff were lovely and considerate, the breakfast was leisurely and plentiful, and the room was very spacious indeed, with a kitchenette in one corner. The hotel supplied a lovely cot for our daughter. There is no lift, and the road outside is a...
