After reviewing the comments on Tripadvisor, we booked 2 nights in the net for Eur140 per night for 2 persons including breakfast and telephonically extended for another night for Eur160. The reception staff are exceptionally friendly, competent and helpful. The hotel is situated in a pedestrian street with no traffic noise. Our room on the top floor was spacious, clean...

I stayed at the Continentale for one night at the end of March and overall was very pleased. Its a small boutique hotel very centrally located. Room and bathroom were clean, pleasant and modern. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine but not extensive. Would definitely stay there again. Its is located on the corner of street with...

We just stayed in Hotel Continentale and we're satisfied. The price was right, the location excellent, the service is curteous and the breakfast very good. For the little I know of Trieste I think it's a great starting point.

the location of the hotel is really great you can walk everywhere with minutes. The train station is only 2 minutes walk and the airport is only 5/7 minute taxi ride(€14). we got a great deal when booking and the hotel was clean. We were only there to sleep so it suited us perfectly fine. Beds were comfortable. We had...

I stayed for one night at the Contintenale and found the whole experience to be more than impressive. Granted it was a Sunday night and it felt like I was the only person staying over, but for someone who doesn't speak Italian I was able to converse in English with everyone from Reception to the bar to room service. The...

I thought the hotel was average considering it was 4 star. I've stayed in a lot better 3 star hotels. The rooms were small but tastefully decorated and the location was great. However on the first morning we got down to breakfast with over an hour to spare, waited about 15 minutes for a table which we sat at for...

Excellent location, unless you’ve driven to the place; then the usual Trieste parking problems arise. Solution: the VIP car service that picks up your car, makes it disappear, and returns it, about half an hour later than you really need it. But, heck you can stand on the street with your luggage and look at the passing parade. Breakfast is...

Although we only stayed one night, we thought the hotel was very nice. It is located pretty close to the train station so you can walk to it, but if you have a lot of luggage I would suggest a quick taxi ride. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and the bathroom had all the needed items. Our room...

Have just spent 10 nights in this 4star hotel and it I believe that it has the most disinterested, impersonal, unfriendly and lack of knowledgeable front of house staff I have ever experienced .In reverse order 1.they were unable to provide an additional luggage table or small locker as the room had extremely minimal storage facility, not even a paper bin.2.Requested two...

We stayed 3 nights in Trieste en route from Venice to Slovenia, attracted by the lure of Illy coffee!. And also to go somewhere 'different' and off season. Friends from Trieste told us that the town had had a make-over and recommended a visit. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend Trieste to travellers who have been and done the...
