We have appreciated both your praise and your reports about the wi-fi and find them very helpful to improve our quality. In the meantime (you stayed here in January 2017) we have changed the wi-fi supplier and the connection...

This hotel is located near the train station enabling to join the city centre within 5-10 minutes walking. The employees were very nice and the room was quite pleasant but with an old decoration style. The breakfast was a buffet with possibility to ask for italian espresso and cappucino. Nevertheless, the buffet was quite small with a limited choice, certainly...

We spent a night at the Italia before flying out of Trieste Airport. Our room with 4 single beds was clean and comfortable. Air conditioning worked fine. Wifi was weak. Small box shower in the bathroom but the showerhead was powerful and hot water was plentiful. Very quiet with the windows and shutters closed at night. Breakfast was fine -...

Front desk staff very friendly and very helpful. Very patient with us, and also helped us reserved a very nice restaurant for dinner. Room is very spacious from European hotel standard. Breakfast is one of the best - many selections, delicious, and the lady replenished everything quickly. They will also make you cappuccino there for you. Wonderful experience.

Maybe not fair to score after one night, but it is an ok place. Very very (excellent actually) good service. Clean hotel and room, but some noise problems as everything is concrete and tiles. We enjoyied the stay, though expensive for a room for 4 persons. Small narrow beds (70 cm wide). 4 off them forbus.

The hotel is situated close to the city center. It is nice, clean and comfortable. It is a little pricey for what is offering but hotels is Trieste are a little expensive in general. The receptionists are polite and make you feel welcome.

...so was the atmosphere of my first room, thanks to its bouquet of mold all around...but that was nothing compared to what was going to happen in my second one: here, fortunately, the mold was perfectly set on the countertop, the temperature was perfect to preserve my body (below 18 degrees and any attemp to change it would have turned...

Booked a stay with hotel italia on booking.com, paid additional fees for flexible cancellation. Our travel plans changed and we cancelled our reservation 2 days prior to check-in but were still charged. Multiple calls to the hotel and booking.com led to no resolution. This is business in bad faith at its worst. Find somewhere else to stay.
