I selected this hotel more or less by mistake - was trying to book its sister hotel over the road which had a swimming pool - but apart from not having access to the pool, this hotel was very good. It is superbly located in the centre of the city, mere steps from the ocean and lots of great restaurants....

The rooms are tidy, tastefully decorated and reasonably sized for the price. Also, the staff is very friendly and helpful (the English and German of the staff is very good which I thought was surprising). Lastly, the location of the hotel is perfect and the ocean is just a stone throw away.

Fabulous location. Helpful front desk. Great linens, impeccable service. Best breakfast service in our 5 weeks of travel through Italy. Tommy, our breakfast host and server, was exceptional. He greeted us with our fresh juice and cappuccino each morning without us having to ask. His enthusiasm and friendly service was a welcome way to start the day.

Beautiful building in a central location right on the wonderful piazza. Parking not too far away. Rooms were large and very stylish. Breakfast was included and choice was extensive. Would definitely recommend this hotel in this lovely town.

Centrally located beside the main piazza, very convenient to restaurants, sights. It does not have its own reception and is presumably owned by and uses the one next door (Duchi d'Aosta). Nice design features. Very comfortable bed with wonderful linen sheets. Nice size bathroom. Excellent fast free wifi. Quiet. Reasonable size rooms. The breakfast is in the hotel next door...

The hotel is located in the historical center of Trieste, very convenient to find some places to eat and drink. Although it seems the annex of classic Hotel Duchi D'aosta(just opposite, guests have to do check-in there), the hotel itself is definitely a contemporary version. The room I stayed is quite good but with a poor window view. I think...

Hotel charged to my credit card three weeks before the arrival despite the fact that the conditions on booking.com was given that the hotel does not take any payment. When I asked for a refund of the money, hotel refused to refund to the card and offered to transfer what could be associated with the costs of the transfer. The...

We recently spent 3 nights at this centrally located hotel on our first visit to Trieste, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone planning a trip there. The hotel shares a front desk with its sister hotel, the venerable and somewhat faded Duchi D'Aosta, but unlike its overstuffed ultra mittel-European sibling, the Vis a vis is cool, modern and...

Very well located close to Port and other attractions. Reception (with nice, helpful staff) is located in other building just across the street. Rooms well equipped ( coffee machine etc) but standard of furniture just average. Quite high price in comparison with other places especially in places on other side of the boarder (Slovenia or even Croatia).

This hotel was amazing! Check in is across the street at the grand hotel duchi d'aosta. Our hotel lobby looked like a beautiful art gallery, very quite, and serene! Our rooms were very spacious and we were given a room with a view of the Adriatic Sea! Just beautiful! Nothing less then spectacular during our time here! Walking distance to...
