Al Battistero is situated in the heart of the old town of Parma, which is full of small cobbled streets and beautiful old terraced houses. The town is renowned for its restaurants, and there were many that were within easy walking distance of the B&B. Al Battistero is on the first floor of a wonderful traditional apartment building, built around...

This was near a parking garage and a short walk from all the sites - great location. We had a good-sized ground floor room facing the inner courtyard, so it was nice and quiet, but we missed having natural sunlight (there are other rooms on higher floors). Good bed. But it was a few steps down to the bathroom (watch...

Travelled to Parma with friends and had booked this wonderful B&B some months previously. Patrizia, the owner, is extremely accommodating, going out of her way to help in ensuring our stay was fabulous. Helping with restaurant reservations and suggesting places to visit. The rooms are sumptuously decorated with real taste. We felt extremely welcome and then there was the breakfast!!...

Al Battistero d'Oro is as charming as it looks on the photos, and Patrizia is the perfect hostess - she really loves her home and town and is proud to share it with her guests, offering lots of advice, whilst leaving you to appreciate the calm of the location. The guest house is easy to find, just minutes from the...

My husband and I just returned from a lovely stay at the incredibly charming B&B Al Battistero d'Oro. This b&b is whimsical, and we felt like it was our very own special little corner of Parma. The room was modern, incredibly clean, and had many amenities that we really appreciated -- bottles of water, 2 chairs and a table (for...

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Al Battistero d'Oro for two nights. As others have noted Patrizia is a charming, warm and helpful host. Staying in her gorgeous palazzo is a real treat! It has gorgeous old world charm with great Wi-Fi and great attention to detail. Patrizia served us a lovely breakfast each morning...

Before you read my impressions of Al Battistero D'Oro you should know this: I am reluctant to stay at B&B's. I've had some odd and uncomfortable stays over the years and much prefer boutique hotels with a bit more anonymity. So when I say that Al Battistero is the quintessential Parma experience, you'll know it was a great experience. It...

This is a very special place for very special people. If you want to get a true real heartfelt sense of how Parmese people live, stay here. This is no ordinary B&B. You will be immersed with art, history, culture, and Patrizia's (the owner) wonderful sense of humour and joie de vivre. Wander around the streets and you will hear...

This was just an absolutely lovely place with amazing decorations and style. The host was extremely warm and helpful, and the b&b is centrally located, and walking distance to the main downtown Parma area. We will definitely return and try to stay here again. Just a few rooms so book early!

....particularly since I was in Parma for a few days traveling alone. But I didn't feel alone because Patrizia was so conscious for me. The stay here was also very comfortable and charming. This is the only B&B in Parma that is actually in a home , and Patrizia made me feel at home.
