We spent two nights at Pietra Rosa and loved our stay. Getting there was not bad at all once we found our way it was easy and the road is fine. Mauro was very helpful and a great cook. He suggested great places to visit in the area. We would definitely consider returning and we highly recommend it.

Lovely place, once you get there, which is a challenge. Had to ask someone in the end, although it is really quite well sign posted once you see the right road. But we had a delightful 3 nights there, excellent food and a real homely atmosphere. Food probably the best we had in Italy, very good. Rooms simple and sparkling...

Winding up the small track to this Agriturismo, just south of Urbino, I was a little concerned about where we would end up. However, the approximately 5 kilometre drive was worth it. At the end of the track is a restored farmhouse with a swimming pool and ample car park. Jenny and Mauro were a delight ,so kind and friendly,...

Our thanks to Jenny, Mauro, Mickey and not forgetting Bowley for what has been a fantastic holiday. We happily recommend Pietra Rosa and have been spoiled by their attention and care. The standard of cooking must be experienced and relished. We have learned a great deal about using local produce in a simple yet flavoursome way from both Jenny and...

We spent a great long weekend. The agriturismo is small and extremely friendly. Jenny and Mauro were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are fairly basic, but very clean. It was great to have a small pool to sit beside to relax after a day out. The only downside is the fact that it is very...

Great agriturismo with good food, friendly hosts and great service. We were travelling with a 40 year old BMW and got into problems. Mauro came to us with a carmecanic who solved it. Jenny is a wonderful host and great cook. Jenny speaks English fluently which is really helpful for getting great tips in the area. We highly recommend this...

Pietra Rosa is very authentic country living on a working farm. If you want this, you have to be prepared to drive off the main road and along 3km of dirt road, winding upwards. The road is quite good and Pietra Rosa is worth the effort; set in the hills with great views. (Watch the sun rise over the mountains...

I spent a week in Pietrarosa and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Waking up in the morning at the sound of singing birds and having breakfast with excellent home made jams and pies is an excellent way to start your day. The rooms are rather simple but clean. The food in the evening was excellent. All products were from the area...

We needed a place to stay in this area on a trip down south from northern Italy. As it was July and we were travelling with our 2 children (4 and 6) we wanted a place with a pool. We had read some negative reviews of the hosts and their treatment to children, but figured it wouldn't matter for one...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Farmhouse “Pietra Rosa” is situated at 350 metres on the sea level on the side of Pietralata Mount, very close to the Cesane Forest. It’s a very interesting area with the Gola del Furlo, Paganuccio Mountain, Nerone and Catria Mountain. The interest is also naturalistic thanks to the rich variety of flora and fauna. Near the farmhouse, in the village of Monte Polo, you can see a little church of the XIII century. The finding of old coins and other objects in this area testify settings of roman age. The farm consists of 16 hectares with wood and organic agriculture. The farmhouse is an old house of about 400 mqs. Restored using natural materials as much as possible. There is a restaurant of about 40 seats; five double rooms included a bedroom for disabled. Each bedroom has a bathroom. The furniture is in country style with old objects. There is also a hall where it is possible to organize meetings and stages of music, painging, reading, meditation, etc. The Restaurant In the Farmhouse – recommended on TripAdvisor – “Pietra Rosa” you can buy the typical organic products like: pasta, olive oil, cheese and wine. The guests of “Pietra Rosa” have also the possibility to play archery, to play outdoor games for kids, make trekking, too. They can also use mountain-bikes to make excursions on the Pietralata Mountain, or to the Passo del Furlo or the Cesane Forest. The “Pietra Rosa” Farmhouse is open all year long with the possibility to sleep and have breakfast or demy-pension. The restaurant for the non-resident is on reservation. ... more   less
